"Carmel River Inn is so charming! Even though it has been renovated and modernized, it still has some of that quaint mid-century aesthetic, making it a unique and historic place to stay. We stayed in the hotel portion, and loved that we had a private balcony facing the Carmel River- very scenic! The proximity to Highway One has pros and cons. There's a little noise during the day, but it's very quiet at night. The hotel is at a nice crossroads, making it easy to access Big Sur as well as Carmel, Monterey and Carmel Valley. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. We would definitely stay again!"

"The house was a hit for our kids and their spouses. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. The view was amazing!The house sits up high in a nice neighborhood. Good daytime access, but dark at night. We had two little pups with us who enjoyed the back yard.The house was nicely located for day trips to Carmel, Monterey and Big Sur."

We were content staying at the property all day but it’s also close yo so many beautiful sites…point lobos, Garrapata, Carmel, etc…. I will definitely be staying again. "My fiance and I rented this property for our wedding weekend. It was beautiful. Truly perfect. I am absolutely amazed by this place, the owners, and Sanctuary who manages the property. We made a lifetime worth of memories and absolutely loved our stay and hope the property will be available for rental in the future. If you’re interested in visiting Carmel, this is the place to stay. Honestly… a month would’ve been better. We only stayed about 4 days and it wasn’t enough. The details and artwork are GORGEOUS. I honestly might be willing to give my first born to be here once a year. If you’re the owner or sanctuary rentals- y'all are really doing god’s work. Thank you for making our weekend so special. "
