"The breakfast can be better. Eggs were tough on the sides because no one was stirring them to keep them fresh. Salmon had grey edges from spending too much time outside the refrigerator. The rooms need to have slippers and robes, the floors need to be fixed, they are not straight and it's annoying. The hair dryer is horrible, please replace it with a proper powerful hairdryer, it's unusable. Everything else is excellent. "

Odd room layout, despite the reasonably generous space it was necessary to duck to reach one side of the bed. Best view from the room was from the bathroom. Sockets in inconvenient places. Lamps had bases too wide for the shelf. Clothes hanging area could have accommodated two cases if the shelves had been differently positioned. Bathroom floor was dirty and stained "

Our experience spoilt at dinner when the " Canette" ie duckling" arrived overdone, dry, and inedible, instead of pink and moist. Returned the dish untouched. At check-out found that the untouched, returned dish was still charged for, but with a 30% reduction. "The staff went out of their way to be helpful! It was a school holiday, so Taxi’s were hard to get. We walked to the hotel from the Train Station across the river. When we discovered that the hotel restaurant was booked & we would have to walk to another one, the front desk clerk actually got his car & drove us there! We very much appreciated this. This hotel is within close walking distance of 2 castles & a beautiful shopping area. The food was excellent, the hotel very comfortable & the staff were more than welcoming."
