Building has some interesting history - enjoyed the hearth and sitting room in the main lobby. Location was excellent, inside the walled centre of Shrewsbury town. Walking distance to pubs, shops and restaurants. "

"The Burlton Inn was excellent for our needs, being halfway home from Southampton to our home for an overnight stop. The pub itself was very attractive, and the local beer was rally good. The accomodation was fine. The rooms were in an adjacent cottage style annexe, just across the large car park. The choice of evening meals was wide, and the food was good. Breakfast was continental only, but very healthy. Would we stay there again? YES! "

"The breakfast was freshly made and was presented nicely. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was nice and clean. The only small thing that let it down was that the bathroom door could do with a clean. I would return again, no problem. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the location was excellent. "
