Fort William Hotels, St. John's

While Fort William is a year-round destination, the best time to visit is during the summer months, from June to August, when the weather is at its warmest and most pleasant.During these months, you can expect average daytime temperatures ranging from 15°C to 25°C, great for outdoor activities. The long daylight hours, with the sun often setting after 9 PM, give you ample time to explore the stunning natural landscapes, including hiking trails and the scenic coastline. It's an ideal time for families looking to enjoy the great outdoors without the chill of other seasons. For those interested in whale watching, July and August are particularly good, as these are peak months for spotting various whale species in the waters around Fort William. Boat tours are readily available during this period, offering a chance to see these magnificent creatures up close. If you are a solo traveller seeking a quieter experience with fewer crowds and don't mind cooler temperatures, late spring (May) or early autumn (September to early October) can also be good options. The landscapes are still beautiful, and accommodation prices might be slightly lower.
