"We are badly conflicted about this hotel. It is truly a 5 star luxury hotel with incredible finishes and service. The restaurant is also terrific as are the staff. So what is our problem? Samuel McClure must be rolling over in his grave at the mis matched furniture and decorations , the multitude of odd garden statues placed aimlessly everywhere , and the requirement that you must go outside and get wet after dinner to get back to your room. Please just reduce and simplify the furnishings in this wonderful old house and even William Morris ( “Have nothing in your home that you know is not either useful or beautiful “ would approve. Thanks for your kind consideration."

"The suite was great -- exactly as described and what I needed, with plenty of space and a great kitchen and bathroom as well as a comfortable bed. Location was perfect for working at Royal Roads. Hosts were easy to communicate with, and my stay was excellent. Would stay again!"
