"This was our first time at the Ryder hotel. It was located very conveniently in downtown Charleston. The staff was very friendly however, when we were by the pool, the service there was somewhat spotty. Often times staff would just ignore anyone who was sitting at a table and not offer them a drink. The pool was nice to have on a hot day however, it was very murky and cloudy looking. Not sure how often they check for chemical balance. Both my husband and I felt very itchy after being in the pool...

She was rude and put out that we arrived and interrupted her private cell phone conversation. No welcome it introduction. I mentioned it was my husbands birthday so she could maybe select the best room available for our rate. No acknowledgment at all of our special occasion. She basically pointed and told us our room was “that way”...
