"The Eagle’s Nest is a great place! It is clean, well-stocked with the comforts of home, plenty of space for the 6 of us and an infant. 2 more family members joined us for a meal cooked on the blackstone and there was plenty of room to eat. The beds were comfortable. We loved the extra throws and pillows for relaxing. The dock was our favorite part of the trip! Shade if you wanted it, ceiling fans, too. Lots of choices for the water. We used the paddle boat, paddle board, kayaks and the lily pad. Also enjoyed how peaceful the dock was in mornings and evenings. The fire pit was a great set up and we brought wood, but it rained the night we planned to have a fire. Gerald and his wife are amazing hosts! They checked on us, the showed us the lighting on the dock and answered our questions, they asked if we needed anything a few times. We were happy to tell them we were good because of how stocked the kitchen was with items we didn’t think to bring. We are already looking at booking next year. The Eagle’s Nest could be for a small group or even a few more than we had. I definitely got my steps in each day! Lots of stairs. (We knew by the pictures so no surprise. Driveway is steep but manageable as stated in description.) I highly recommend Gerald and his Chalet. The house is like the pictures but even better. You can’t beat his easy communication and kindness. He truly wants his guests to have an unforgettable experience while creating memories."
"Allison's quick responsiveness is on point! The cabin and area was fabulous. She has thought of everything for guests, from ice tray to ice packs as well as a well thought through welcome guide with local restaurants and menus. The cabin was meticulous and very modern. With 2 mini splits in the cabin, we stayed cool during our stay. The bed was comfortable with the topper that was on it. The pillows were thin for my liking but my husband was fine with them, personal preferences. There were alot of gnats and wasps on the porch when walking in, but the location was perfect with a country-esque feel. We brought a boat for fishing and was able to easily navigate and park on site. There's a public launch nearby, about 7 minutes away. We were able to visit a nearby restaurant and grab some appetizers before turning in for the night which was a bonus as it was a weekday and they closed at 8. A small gesture of taking linens, towels etc. and placing in the living room for housekeeping is asked of guests to help keep costs down. For me, this was brilliant as we are a cost savy couple looking to save where we can and still enjoy time away from our daily lives. Thanks for the enjoyable experience!!!"
Down Time on Lake of Egypt! Fishing, boating, wineries, hiking, relaxing!
8/10 Good
"Parking is not that great if you bring a boat and have a trailer. The driveway is very steep and narrow. The place was very clean inside, but the outside could have used some work. Just looked like spring clean up hadn't happened here yet."
Cozy Cabin in the Woods ,Pet-Friendly! Treehouse feel on the large deck! Pool!
10/10 Excellent
"Great property. Super clean. A/C is top notch. The hot tub was clean and worked well. TV was nice and swiveled. Well thought out and attention to details in this adorable treehouse. Nice quiet. Easy check in. We were in town for a wedding and enjoyed our stay with our pooch. My only suggestion would be to add a portable luggage stand."
"Our family of 4 fit perfectly here. We had everything we needed and the host was so nice and responsive. We fished off the dock for a little catch and release, our youngest son loved it. Very quiet and secluded. Just what we were looking for."
