Very clean, nice rooms. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The lodging is located in a more remote area, nice parking lot with lights. A Road Warrior gas station was were we got food and gas, it’s only about a mile away.

Quaint. Lake of Egypt area and out of the bustle of Marion proper. A little dated; but pretty good bang for your buck. Rooms are nice. Beds are comfortable and if you want a hint of curry...you may want to bring some. Stay here - a no nonsense inn.

So, so quiet

Booked this hotel online while traveling. Owners were very nice. The wife gave me a start of an edible plant she had growing. The room was very clean and you could tell the paint was fresh and tile floor was kept clean Comfortable mattress. Checkout easy. Will stay again.

The hotel was being remodeled. The outside looked bad only because of this. Would I stay again? Yes! The people at this hotel were very helpful and kimd. Most importantly the room was clean.

Off the beaten path GEM!

When we arrived at the hotel, we were not that impressed. It is not a big hotel, and from the outside it doesn't look like much. The check-in was reminiscent of an old, small, motel, However, the check-in was simple and very pleasant. When we entered the room, we were shocked and amazed at the cleanliness and condition of the room. The beds were extremely comfortable. The bathroom was very clean, and the shower and sink both had great water pressure. Everything worked and nothing was broken. If there was anything that could be improved upon, it would be to add a free hot breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling thru the Marion, IL area.

It’s an older place and you can tell they did some little repairs to the room but we didn’t care. Just a little get away for the night. Pillows were a little hard. Bed was comfy though. Quiet and air conditioner worked great so we were able to keep it nice and cool in there. Lady at the front desk was supper nice and helpful. Easy to check out. We just left our key in the box up front since there was no one at the desk since we had to leave so early. Was so much easier for us since we had to be up so early. Everything was very clean. Well taken care of.would stay again if we ever take a small trip like this again.
