I was very pleasantly surprised. I chose it because of the location and price and was so nervous taking kids to NYC by myself if I chose wrong. Such a pleasant surprise! Room was small but fine and felt high end and in safe neighborhood. I would def go again!

I got sold based on the reviews and pictures. 8.0 should be pretty good. I was very disappointed once I walked in to the hotel. Everything was smaller than the pictures made them out to be. The bedroom had a balcony. This balcony opened up to the hidden sides of the buildings. I called it the gates of hell. Not worth even mentioning room had balcony. The worst part of the experience was the mattress. We got a queen mattress with a hole on one side where you could fall in and feel the springs dig into your back. After much complaining we got the mattress replaced with one that was a little less worn out, but still you could sink in. These beds were awful. The AC could barely cool the room and it wasn’t even that hot. Service was ok. It is a hotel in the wall hotel where they don’t really have any staff or amenities. I didn’t even get to see that nice picture with outside seating. Location was great, cleanness was ok. No roaches like we had in NJ. Guess it’s par for a NJ hotel.

Pool was a joke - so small. roof top restaurant and bar is not available all the time. Employees were rude in the restaurant. It is not owned by hotel so they have no control over it. My bed sheets had blood on it and they offered me a $20 resort fee credit for it. BLOOD! When I went to talk to the manager about it - there were 3 other families waiting to complain or ask for different rooms. Not close to anything but central park. I would not stay here again.

The front staff are fantastic. They leave you with a great impression.
