Worst "all inclusive" hotel I've been to. Service was poor and I had to cancel my 2 nights after staying the first night and requested a refund. The manager with whom I interfaced had very poor customer service skills and seemed more interested to havd us cancel our stay rather than fix the issues. We went to breakfast at 9am as breakfast was from abt 7am to 10am. Upon arrival in the restaurant there was nothing left and I asked for the food to be prepared and we were sent to various persons who each deflected responsibility to someone else. Very poor. The infrastructure is in dire need of a makeover. It seems decades have passed since the last cost of paint. I requested a refund and they refused to refund the 1st night. I have still not received the 2nd night's refund.

The property location is ok; Most of the staff was nice. The rooms are ok and decent size, But factoring the quality of food they serve ( is beyond POOR ) paying $200+ a night is extremely expensive for what you get. Shame on Expedia for advertising this as a 3 star hotel. 2 stars would be a lot.

The property seemed to have been a great one in the past; however, it is obvious that it has been neglected over a period of time. The choice of food was so disappointing. Omg, the table covers were so crushed, I had to ask if they could not be ironed. No tv services, no entertainment , we had to exchange room as a result of the air conditioning not working. I think with great improvements this property can be on the radar again. Please do not allow it to deteriorate further.

Loved the staff, room and location!! Disappointed that pool bar open 2 days out of 7, buffet 2 days out of 7 and not many food options. Would suggest when less guests you offer better food instead of skimping out...make guests feel you care about their stay instead if cheapening it.

Don't ever book a vacation at this hotel, it is terrible. They give you one beer at check-in to put in your refrigerator. All-inclusive? What a joke! The breakfast the morning I checked out was awful. I wouldn't feed it to my dog! I had a family emergency and had to leave 3 days early but they wouldn't refund my money. This is not a reputable company.

I was very disappointed, we were without running water for 2 days. The manager Mohammed is very rude and disrespectful, he has no idea what all inclusive means. Did not want to refill our drinking water in the rooms. No brand alcohol available. All in all this is not a facility I would recommend to my worst enemy if there manager does not change. Even the staff is unhappy. I would recommend taking them Off your site until they can be better . There is potential but not with current management..

The pool is disgusting. It is cloudy with broken tiles, empty cups and some garbage on the bottom There were dirty dishes left on a stairwell for 4 days. The food is just so-so with little options. The drinks are horrible with limited choices. There were a total of 6 guests at the resort. This was our second and our last visit. If they want the business, the need to invest in the management. Very sad that it has gone downhill in the 2 years since we have been there. The only improvements were the wifi and the room itself.

We loved our ocean front room, the food and the staff. It seemed like it used to have more amenities at this hotel, so if you're looking for a bunch of stuff to do this might not be the place. We rented snorkel stuff from a local and also spent time with them. Locals will take you into town, cook you a lobster dinner, etc..Most days there was a private beach to the west that we had to ourselves!

I have been to Jamaica 17 times in the past 18 years. This was my first time staying at Mangos Jamaica. The rooms are nice but a little dark. There are plenty of light fixtures they just didn't have bulbs in them. There was hardly ever hot water for a shower. Most days the water in the shower was so cold you could not stand directly under it. I had a 7 night stay. Even after asking the fridge in the room was never stocked. Not even one bottle of water. The food is OK. There is plenty of what they offer at meal time. But you only have one choice per night of where to eat. The buffet is not open every night. I was never offered a glass of wine with my evening meal. I asked one night and I did get a small glass of wine. But they didn't get it to my table until they brought the dessert. Breakfast was OK, just not much variety. Lunch by the pool every day was Excellent. This is a small All Inclusive Resort. With a few minor improvements It would be a very nice place to stay. With so many options of Resorts in Jamaica I would probably not return to this Resort. There are Resorts 5 minutes from the airport where you will get more value per dollar spent. I will end this review saying I did enjoy my stay at Mangos Jamaica. I never went hungry while I was there. There was plenty of Rum and Sun. And the Staff was all very friendly.

There wasn't any hot water available at all during our entire stay. The staff was rude and didn't inform us about any of the resort activities, amenities, facility locations or scheduling. All requests for service or assistance we're ignored. There were very few people there when we arrived yet our room still wasn't ready. We waited for two hours. When our room was ready we were missing washcloths.

Where do I begin?...first of all the pictures do ZERO justice.If youre looking to go on vacation eat drink and be happy DO NOT COME HERE..every all inclusive places I have been to I can eat or drink anything whenever I want..not here..you eat breakfast (HORRIBLE) you have to wait 3 hours for them to open the lunch area (by the pool)where they offer grilled cheese or hamburgers(unless the run out) dinner sucked buffet style..and the bar ..it opens at 11 a.m and closes COMPLETELY shuts down by 10 p.m regardless if there is a crowd or not I'm talking shuts music off chains up bar and turns the lights off at bedtime..now for the rooms..first room DIDNT HAVE WATER!! Unfortunately we were under the impression that Mangos was a 3/4 star inclusive Adult only resort. It was not. It was in horrific condition and we were misled by photos and reviews of the said property. Every guest we met felt the same exact way and were very upset. I took many pictures to prove the horrible state of this “resort” and would appreciate some guidance from you in how to make the next guest aware of this before choosing Mangos. We walked the waterway and EVERY other resort was in perfect condition... everyone but Mangos. The consumer has a right to know before spending their hard earned money on their well deserved vacation!!!

Mosquitos. Mosquitos everywhere in our room throughout our stay. That factor combined with a lack of hot water in our shower made the stay less than comfortable. Otherwise the staff was generally friendly and the small beach area was satisfactory. Food was fine but drinks were of the standard bottom shelf alcohol served at most resorts.

Backpacker Motel
As an employee for a major airline in Europe as well as actress, I can say that I have experienced all kinds of hotels. I am a seasoned traveler at this point and in my view, Mangos is as good as a MOTEL for backpackers. Adding, that most guests are above 55 though. It’s not easy to write a bad review especially because we met some friendly people working on the property but I am upset to having wasted money and valuable vacation time and suffering from itches now that I am back. It took more than 2 hours for Mangos to grant us access to the hotel room even though that we arrived late in the afternoon and were hoping to change to some light clothes. The room was inconsistently cleaned and as dark as it gets. The worst was a sleepless time, with a broken AC and about 300 mosquitos in the room ready to eat us for dinner. We complained to the front desk but there was no real follow up or interest. There were not Mosquito Nets that we could have used to cover the bed and I, who had been sick from a bite in previous years, got horrified by the about 150 itching bites that I had on my legs only. There was also a lot of noise till 3 am. Furthermore, the chairs at the beach were weathered and chairs in the dining area rusty. I could list a lot more, from dirty towels to plastic cups but there is not much room to do so. The only positive note was the life music in the evening and the 2-3 friendly people who served us at the front desk and in the restaurant.

Overall our stay at Mangos was fine. It took us over 2 hours to get our room when we first checked in (after 3pm). That was our first dissapointment. Rooms are very out dated, but fine. There was no hot water for a warm shower the first couple of days we were there. WiFi was very spotty and only worked in the morning for about 5 minutes at a time. It was hard to get new clean towels in our room. We killed about 20 mosquitos in our room every time someone came in to clean it so we didn’t have our room cleaned most days. The walls are VERY thin and it was hard to sleep at night as you can hear everything from the surrounding rooms. As for the food, it was always great but similar choices each night. I think this place has a lot of potential with some updates. We felt safe our entire time there and the staff was friendly for the most part.

This property is simply misrepresenting itself on their website. The photos must have been taken back when the resort appeared this way. We were there 12/23/18 through 12/30/18 and it was nothing like the photos and when I book an all inclusive resort to stay at, I rely heavily on the photos and hope they’re close to reality when I arrive. I heard it’s under new ownership and is in the process of being updated. Perhaps bulldozing and rebuilding would be better! A few of the buildings should be condemned/demolished as they look to be unsafe structurally. They’re currently not in use or open to the guests, so maybe that’s the plan. Room conditions were sub par, they could put a little more time into cleaning them. The staff was quite pleasant and somewhat apologetic at times for the way things are currently. They appreciated everyone’s presence and tried their best to make the stay the best it could be. The food was mediocre and there was very little variety. Pretty much the same exact thing every day. The beverage selection was also mediocre and from time to time they would run out of things hoping more would arrive the next day. Services advertised weren’t available. There’s a lot of work that needs to be done here in all facets of this business. I would not recommend going here in the near future (12 months minimum). It’s disappoining to spend the time and money on what you hope is going to be a great vacation and come home feeling like it was the complete opposite.

Needs more work.
The room and area could have been a lot cleaner. The bathroom and tub were not clean. When the towels were changed they didn’t replace with fresh ones. The beach area needed better upkeep. The accommodation for the food, being told they ran out of everything when your on time for breakfast was unacceptable. Can’t say that I will recommend. Our shower stopped working and it took maintenance and for us to call twice to get it fixed. The staff was very friendly, but the upkeep of the hotel grounds wasn’t pleasant.

Where to start...the hotel is very tired and is in need of some upgrades peeling paint..broken tiles....none of the amenities where present...no dinner on the beach...no spa...hot tubs broken down...the food is not very good the gift shop by the pool has hardly anything in it and what they do have is overpriced. No Atm at the hotel...and credit cards don't work most of the time bring lots of cash..getting into the closest town a few miles away is $50 dollars for a round trip taxi to Falmouth about 5 miles...the staff at the hotel however are very nice.

This a cool, small & intimate little spot. It has it's own little Jamaican charm that speaks to those who appreciate some peace and quiet along with a vintage type appearance as well. You're not going to see luxurious ammenities with brand-new details or state of the art technology within this resort. However, you will find a polite staff with beautiful smiles with a sincere attitude. I can sense that management is taking into account some of the negative reviews posted from the past and addressing them. A couple upgrades will bring this location near to the 4 star rating. My main nagative for this resort, in my own experience, was the mosquito problem. The resort is beautifully detailed with a little too much bush & shrubs etc....and it's created a moist safe havens for all kinds of insects. Bring some kind of repellent to make sure you're not the person at the pool the next day with all the red bumps on their body, Lol. Several people were. Overall, we enjoyed our quick stay here (3 1/2-days, 3 nights). I booked this option 3 weeks before hand for a lil quick getaway. I'll recommend booking the ocean front room if you can for the views, ocean wind and HD sound of the waves at night. I wouldn't recommend booking this if your're looking for the "party atmosphere" or the super over intoxicated antics that can sometimes draw negative attention. There will be organized moments to let loose at times, however you'll have to create your own fun when need be. BYOB Duty Free!

Quiet and Small
We booked this resort because it was smaller than most. We also happened to be there on a quiet week and there were less than 10 guests total on the resort. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the food was amazing! Although our experience was unique with so few guests, I would recommend this resort and would return.

Raggedy hotel not what you see online...it’s bad
This is not a hotel that Expedia should offer as an option to your customers. The attractiveness of the property that you see online versus what you see in reality is like night and day. It’s not an all inclusive hotel that you would find food choices for a vegetarian...When I asked about choices for vegetarian they told me I should have let them know that I am a vegetarian. I’ve stay at many all inclusive hotels in the past and never had to tell anyone that I am a vegetarian. The bed in the cabins...which was more what it looks like than a resort...the head board was ripped up and tattered...the room smelled like mold...water and mold stains on the ceiling....no beach are...the beach and pool chairs were filthy, the gazebo...omg..wish I could attach pictures here...was 4 pieces of sticks put together and a bench made of wood with 2 disgusting ripped up cushions...I’m feeling upset all over again just writing about it now...please don’t go there...it’s like paying the price for a JW Marriott only to get a motel 6...I was spending 5 nights for a total of 1348... if I had paid 100 dollars per night...I would have chucked it up to ‘I get what I paid for’ but there were other “real resorts” like the royalton two doors down from mangoes where the price was comparable....it was the worst birthday vacation I’ve ever had...please don’t ever ever stay here...end of story...I checked out and went to the Grand Palladium...at least I was able to enjoy a few days at a real all inclusive

Four channels? Beach was often filled with trash. No diet pop. My boyfriend is diabetic so having diet pop for drinks is essential. No whiskey? Bars need to have the basic liquors at all time. I heard the beer ran out too. Breakfast there was a good selection of food. Lunch is very limited and the salad bar was only open for 21/2 hours. Evening could have more options and more jerk chicken and pork. dm

Worst resort we've ever stayed
We liked. the style and location of the resort. We didn't like the food, only one restaurant was open and the buffet were below average and keep running out of food. Also the bars kept running out of liquor and the one beer they had. Plus little to no entertainment at this resort. The staff was good. All the good reviews we read about Mangos were all lies

Relaxed, quaint, and right on the beach
Everything you need for a laid back, kids free island vacation. Neat, clean rooms with modern rustic feel. Fresh foods, plenty of refreshments. Friendly, helpful staff with authentic vibe. Options for activities, or our favorite, relax and walk the beach. Keep to yourself or make new friends with the other guests. If you don't want a crowd, this is for you.

Biggest problem was untruthfulness from front desk
I am qualifying this review with the fact that I believe new manager(s) had just started at the end of our visit (beginning of 2018). This resort might be completely different in a few months because the new mgmt seemed to be listening to guests and trying to make changes while we were there. The pros: The location is right on a nice beach, very close to several buildings on the resort, clear water, near the airport. Also near the Falmouth cruise port. Has local craft shop on site to buy gifts for back home if you don't want to leave the resort. Gated entrance and parking which was nice. Super close to the glistening waters lagoon that glows blue. Most of the serving staff were sweet and tried their best. The Italian restuarant night was very delicious. The rooms were a nice size and all of them had a back balcony. Beds were more comfortable than most resorts I've been in. Had nice wood beams and tall ceilings. If it works, the on the wall a/c was nice. Free internet in room when it worked was nice. Cons: Updating needs to happen. Nothing major, but little things. The tiles in the pool on the pool bar were missing. The hot tubs weren't hot and tiles were coming unglued. Bathrooms were ok (had weird tile) but could have been cleaner (some mold patches). Ran out of toilet paper. Needs new sheets. Front desk needs more training- their untruthfulness and unhelpfulness made this review at 2 star instead of a 4 star.

Except for the water issue
I would recommend this resort to anyone who isn't looking for luxury. I loved that our room was steps from the ocean. Could sit on the deck all day and listen to the waves rolling in. It's a small quaint resort. The staff was tremendous. Very friendly and always making sure we were happy. There were not many people at the resort so it was easy to get chairs by the beach and pool. The grounds were well taken care of. But the plumbing and availability of water in our room was a hit or miss. There were 5 couples that went in our group and one couple had no water for 3 days. Hotel management had many excuses. Of which I didn't know what to believe. So if not showering on a daily basis doesn't bother you than this place is for you. Food was ok. Asian food night was terrible. Not many choices for liquor and red stripe was the only beer served. We took some day trips, and were easily accommodated as there were 10 of us. Driver's were fun and knowledgeable took us where we needed to go. There were events scheduled during the day, such as pool slide contests, karaoke and bands playing at night.The beds were comfortable however the headboards need to go. Torn and ripped up, was kind of gross. Would be an awesome place if they could up their game a bit.
