"Beautiful scenery very peaceful. Not too family friendly. Had to be poolside or upstairs. The entire living space is upstairs. I have a disabled family member that we had to almost carry up the stairs. No convenient restroom near the pool. Very remote, need to plan on not going to the store through your trip. I may have missed all that in the ad. Seems like I got all the information after I booked."

"This place is a real piece of Tuscany! As soon as you exit the vehicle you're greeted by music and the sound of a creek that sets the really sets ambiance. A beautiful home that is better in person than the photos. Communication with the host was great! He was always available to turn on/off the hot tub as needed. The only thing that was weird was that there's no bathroom door for the master bath, but otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Be sure to visit the Jersey Farm! You can feed the animals, bottle feed a calf and milk a cow. We took home fresh milk and a few tshirts from their store. We'll definitely keep this house on our list of favorites!"

"I've stayed in many places in my life. I love the peacefulness of staying in a quiet, clean, quaint house. The Barby Haus was by far the cleanest, most tastefully decorated (unbelievably special antiques and touches) yet, completely modern house I've ever stayed in. Not a single guest "welcome detail" is overlooked. Impeccable!"

"Everything was clean and well maintained but the only reason I didn't give a five star was the bathtub was very slick on the bottom and you had to be very careful not to slip and fall. I'm sure it would be a cause for concern for many others as well. Needs some kind of skid protection on bottom."

"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had such an amazing stay at the Frenchie! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. We stayed in the main house on the first floor, and the room was absolutely beautiful. The rooms and the entire property are so thoughtfully designed that every space feels photo shoot ready. It’s the perfect spot for a romantic getaway for two, but it would also be so much fun with a group of friends. The location couldn’t be better. We walked everywhere, with great restaurants, coffee shops, and shopping all just steps away. A couple of things to keep in mind: because the main house is historic, you can hear pretty much everything happening in the room above you. It wasn’t a dealbreaker for us, but if you’re a light sleeper, it’s something to be aware of. The other downside was the cost of food and drinks on the property. Cocktails were around $20 or more, which felt a bit expensive. Overall, it was an incredible stay, and we would absolutely come back. If you’re looking for a beautiful, charming hotel in an unbeatable location, the Frenchie is a fantastic choice."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Bellville. The beds were comfy, the shower water was hot and plentiful, and the decor gave such a welcoming vibe. I really appreciated the high ceilings and large kitchen island. The space worked perfectly for us! We will definitely stay here again when we are back in town. Thanks for all the nice amenities including the dishwasher, washer and dryer and plenty of towels and wash cloths."
