"Our week-long stay at the Bahia Principe Akumal was amazing. My only frustration was that the app can be improved with more information about where activities are taking place and brief descriptions of them. Also, the à la carte reservation process was frustrating. We shouldn't have to scramble every night furiously checking the app if a reservation happens to open up."

"Always easy to point out the negatives, but they are limited. Often out of pool towels, the ultra all inclusive has some odd exclusions. Just charge a bit more and include everything. Could use pool or beach attendants to avoid people reserving chairs. Cheapens the experience. Invest in big ice cubes for evening cocktails That said, the staff are great. Resort is beautiful. Great location. Food and drink are great. A mix of fun and high end cocktails. Cater very well to allergies. Peaceful, elegant, clean and quiet. Definitely go to this resort as one of the best (if not the best) in Tulum or Mayan Riviera."

"Jose was a great host, attentive and prompt with responses. This location is a great launchpad for exploration. We rented a car which is optimal at this location. It is right about in the middle of everything we wanted to do. Trip to El Meco, Coba, Muyil and the Cenote puerta maya. The property has two community pools and a private plungpool. The furniture was comfortable including the bed which is a rare find. Fully stocked with utensils pans and plates stove top and an oven with a full size refrigerator. The only issue was some recent water damage to the cabinets that they are working on getting quotes to fix. "

"The host was very responsive, welcoming and professional. The condo is beautiful and comfortable. A few small things, the weather stripping on the front door is peeled back leaving an open gap that bugs can get in. The battery powered soap dispensers in the bathroom and kitchen are finicky and one of them was dead completely so we couldn’t use it. Other than the those very small things, the experience was once in a lifetime, the host is great, the price is affordable and the Tulum country club itself is safe and beautiful. 5/5 definitely recommend and hope to visit again someday.
