This is our second stay at The Barn and once again it didn't disappoint! Accommodation was great and the food amazing, they certainly don't skimp on anything. We were lucky enough to stay five nights, only one little thing bugged me and that was the room wasn't vacuumed at all and as the weather was wet and miserable we brought a fair bit of debris in on our feet! Highly recommend a stay here you won't be disappointed.

It was quite an adventure staying in an old cell in an old jail. Of course we were completely comfortable!

The hotel was quite nice and also spacious for 2 people. Staff at reception were incredibly friendly and also helpful!

We had an amazing stay. Everything was beautiful. It was a comfortable and luxurious stay. We'll definitely stay again. Location is in town and parking on site.

Staff were really lovely, reception and restaurant much fancier than I expected for a motor Lodge, let alone one for ~$100 a night which is kinda unheard of these days. Yes the place was built in the 70s or so and the once very fancy built-ins for the bedhead are a little dated... But the room was clean, and warm (no limiter on the AC like so many others) and otherwise well maintained. Would absolutely stay again

We loved the cosy atmosphere of our cottage and it had everything that we needed. The bed was very comfy.

Even thought the world is a little crazy right now, the Commodore provided a little oasis in my travel. It continues to be one of my go to places in my business travels. Great restaurant and selection of wines.

We were travelling for work with a young baby and the staff were considerate and moved us to a room that was further away from the road without us asking. They also didn't hesitate to help when we realised we'd forgot toothpaste and happily accommodated us. The meals offered in the restaurant were also fantastic! They were much better than I expected for a motel restaurant and very good value for money. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Mt Gambier! Highly recommend

Stayed 1 night but wish we’d stayed longer. The staff contacted us with checkin details and were met at the property with instructions and help provided by Michael. We stayed in the white room which was very spacious with French doors onto a veranda and a lovely bathroom. Comfortable bed and a 2 seater lounge. Restaurants and shops were a 2 minute walk away. Pity the breakfast wasn’t included as it would make it perfect.

Stunning room, fabulous friendly staff and great food!

Facilities: Home away from home; Value: Great deal; Service: friendly; Cleanliness: Spotless;

I enjoyed my stay at the Grand Central motel, close to the centre of Mount Gambier. Very clean comfortable and spacious room. Excellent staff. I would stay again.

I was working in Mount Gambier for a few of days, so only stayed for a couple of nights - wished I had stayed longer. Friendly, helpful staff. A quiet, comfortable, clean and tidy room with coffee and tea making necessities, biscuits and milk provided in the little bar fridge. It was cold and wet outside both nights, so a quiet, efficient air conditioner ensured a good night's sleep on a comfortable bed. Excellent hot shower too with a modern shower head (very important). What more could you ask...

Friendly reception very helpful staff. Room was clean and many facilities.

Nice clean, relaxing motel. The outside area around the pool will be good when it’s landscaped a bit more but there are plenty of tables and bbqs so it’s easy to spend a lot of time outside.

The room was great, it was 10M long and at least 4M wide plus on suite. It had tall ceilings and felt nice and grand and spacious. There was a separate kitchen so we could have breakfast when we wanted. Bacon eggs toast and tomatoes supplies. Plus cereals and jams etc. There was a cycle track along the old railway line a couple of hundred metres from the main road the went from one end of town to the other. We took bikes but you can get then from the city centre library. Umpherston sink...

Our stay was in a great spot with friendly staff good food and great room will stay there again
