Good location, just off the Meadows. Friendly reception staff. The room was a basic student flat - one of a group of 4 individually lockable rooms with a shared front door, with en suite shower and toilet. Bed was a compact double - probably a three-quarter size. The room was basic but adequate. Towels and bedding and a single soap supplied, but no extras like shampoo, TV, hairdryer. Free wifi if you log on to the student network. There's a shared well equipped kitchen if you want to self cater. Great location for the Meadows and a 10 minute walk to Grassmarket. The area was quiet at night which was a bonus during the fringe! Good value for money for the fringe, but definitely no frills.
