Traditional Austrian Chalet at the base of Cannon Ski Area in Franconia Notch

"We loved this place. Super clean, lots of space to put your clothes, hiking boots, bags, etc. so you can enjoy the comfortable bedrooms and living space. Big picture windows made sitting inside on super hot days enjoyable. Modest but well apportioned kitchen. Great little deck outside to watch the sunset while enjoying your post-hike drink. We booked with the understanding that there would only be fans, and no AC, but to our delightful surprise, there was central air when we got there! It had just been installed in advance of a heat spell that was arriving about the same time we were. SUPER grateful for this type of care to their guests. They were also really responsive and clear about instructions, etc. 10/10 would book again."

"We enjoyed our stay very much! The house was spacious and had a lot of great touches. Communication was clear and the welcome book was a great resource. Kitchen had everything you needed to cook meals at the house including spices. The fire pit was wonderful. Our stay happened to be on a very hot and humid weekend which made it tough with no AC but we were grateful for the fans. The two bedrooms downstairs were a bit cooler but it would have been nice to have fans in those rooms as well. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to stay with kids or friends in Franconia."

"We had a wonderful stay overall the stay was good very spacious for our family. The deck cushions need to be cleaned we were not able to sit out there at all. Also the basement to do laundry the dryer needs to be vented outside and there a lot of dead mice."

"Carla was an exceptional host! From the moment we booked, she was incredibly welcoming, responsive, and helpful. She answered all of our questions quickly and went above and beyond to assist with anything our group needed throughout our stay.The house was immaculate, well-equipped, and exactly what we were looking for. Everything was thoughtfully maintained, and it was clear that Carla takes great pride in providing a wonderful experience for her guests.Our group had a fantastic time, and the property was the perfect place for us to stay. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We will absolutely be back year after year and highly recommend Carla and her property to anyone looking for a comfortable, stress-free stay!"
