"We booked massages-we paid A LOT of money—to be gently oiled. It was the biggest disappointment. The weekday staff is on point! Some of the weekend staff is DEFINITELY there for just the weekend and they ARE NOT anywhere near as professional, or friendly. The hotel was beautiful though."

"We spent the night at Read House on our way home from SC. I had read about the hotel and it's resident ghost in the past, so ....of course, we had to stay! The hotel is one of the most beautiful that I have stayed in. The history of the site is an added bonus. We took a tour of room 311 and had the most engaging guide. I totally recommend a stay at this hotel!! You must explore the hotel and the grounds along with a tour of 311. Our room was beautiful, the bed super comfy, and the staff amazing. Can't wait to stay there again."
