"A comfortable place to stay and well worth it."

"We read the reviews and were intrigued. We stayed in winter, and it is cold in Bothwell. It would have been much more inviting if the hosts had the heater running prior to our arrival, but once the property warmed up after a few minutes the shock of how cold it was faded away. We stayed in the 1837 cottage. The accommodation is rustic, eclectically furnished and decorated, and gives an appreciation of life in times gone by. If you are after elegant, refined and well finished accommodation...

"The property is old and dark. Mattress was old as we kept rolling into the middle! "

"Old,historic but needs TLC and updated ceramic heaters and sofa."

"Very cute. A nice cottage. But for a winter stay the heater was not adequate. It needs more heating and some extra blankets for the beds. A few more kitchen basics are needed too such as wooden spoon and lifters.Otherwise we enjoyed our stay."

"Comfortable enough, not really possible for cooking, not enough crockery or utensils, the spa is odd and sprayed water everywhere, lots of dog poo in the grass at the front of the cottage. Cottage was clean and beds were comfortable."
