"Great location with a very nice remodel of an old home. Kitchen and bedrooms are very nice. Back yard is a great outdoor gathering place, even though it was too cold for that during our stay. People with mobility issues should be aware there are some step downs, as this is one of the older original houses (I used to walk by this house in the early '60's, and it wasn't a new house then.). The host was quick to respond to my questions. We had a great stay and I would stay here again!"

"The Sage House is a perfect retreat from ciaos. To enjoy a comfortable home in the warmth of Grass Valley, is a great way to unwind. Beautifully decorated with every detail thought out. Cozy bed linens and plush towels were my favorite. I wish I stayed longer with a book to read in the yard. Next time!"

"Overall wonderful. Great location with some traffic noise from the freeway across the yard. Some foot traffic noise above us upstairs. Maybe slippers are in order to reduce the noise. Both times we stayed here the bathroom tub has a very slow drain. This time, the towels were rough, just in from hanging outdoors. Soft and cushy is best. We love the lighting in the yard and fairy light projection touch!"

Everything --all the lovely touches in decor, the sweet bears throughout, artful lamps & beautiful quilts --all of this shows so much care and loving attention. The setting is gorgeous. There is a yard with a large outdoor kitchen and other fun games and stuff. Great for the kiddos! I'd like to find a reason to go back to the area just so that I can stay at this place again! And the American River is just right down the road (if you don't mind driving a gravel road). Love it and would definitely recommend! "
