They put us in a room someone else was still staying in. Then it took another three tries for them to give us working key cards. The chemicals from the pool burned your eyes if you were sitting around the pool - poor ventilation. We won’t stay there again.

I did not rate as high due to a few maintenance issues upon arrival however they were quickly fixed and I received a check in the next day. The room was perfect for our group with 3 Adults and 1 child! The balcony made for great viewing of the lake and ships coming and going. I will stay again!!

We stayed in the suite with a fireplace and jacuzzi It was so nice the views were even better! The free breakfast was extensive anything you can think of was there! Just what we needed for a romantic getaway! We will most definitely be back very soon! Thank you for a special weekend!

We really enjoyed our stay, the room was very quiet. Was nice to watch the ships come in and a quick walk to the aerial bridge. Our only problem was that when we got home we found they had put a charge on our incidentals credit card. It was a strange amount, and we hadn't done anything that should have used it. I waited 5 days and it didn't go away. When i called they reversed it, however they had no explanation why it happened. I will certainly watch this closely in the future.

Very nice hotel and great location to Canal Park. Breakfast had many options. Only complaint was the noisy people in the room above us - sounded like a herd of elephants walking back & forth until 1:30am.

Lovely place to stay. The rooms were good sized with a seating area for hanging out & I loved the space in the bathroom. It was walking distance to may shops & we enjoyed the view of the lake. It was especially fun to see the ships sail under the bridge.

Hotel is right in the heart of Canal St. area - on the lake and very close to the pier. It was clean and the sunrises were spectacular. Only complaint would be that there were guests who were not very courteous during the night.

The room was clean, the view is amazing, the staff are great. The bed was hard and the walls are thin, we could hear everything guests above us were doing and guests in the hall

We like to stay at this hotel each time we are in Duluth. We love the view of the lake, ships and ability to walk around Canal Park. The beds are comfortable. We like the option of 2 hot tubs.

The property is great, great location, very clean and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast staff is wonderful! My only complaint is that ive twice now had issues with my room reservation. The last two times I've booked lakeside rooms through Expedia and have arrived to receive rooms facing the parking lot. The hotel is always full and I'm told they are sorry but there is nothing they can do. The last time we stayed it was for a very special anniversary and we were extremely disappointed with the cramped, city side room when we expected/booked an expensivelakeside suite. This time for our second night they were able to find us a lakeside room but we had to move everything. Because I booked through Expedia I was told they couldn't offer me a discount even though I had paid the upcharge for a lakeside room. I strongly recommend the hotel, but if you want a specific room you better book through their site...
