"Exceptional room in a smartly designed, welcoming hotel. The view (north, from 17th floor) was fantastic, the room layout spacious, with delightful custom artwork on the wall and a Nespresso machine to get you ready for the day. Super comfortable bed. Fast, trouble-free wifi. The staff was uniformly helpful and attentive. One of the most enjoyable hotels I've stayed at in North America, comparing favorably with the Palace in NYC and the Fairmont in San Francisco."

"This is the Fort Garry Hotel we’re talking about. It’s the epitome of elegance in Winnipeg. The beds are soft, the water pressure perfect, the rooms spotless. They provide bathrobes and even the bath towels are bigger than at other hotels. I asked for a small refrigerator and one was graciously provided at no extra cost. I feel this should be standard in any hotel room. Everyone today wants to keep their water bottles cold. Many travel with medication that requires refrigeration. Something for luxury hotels to think about"
