"Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. "

"We arrived to be checked in promptly, and given complimentary biscuits. The room was clean and tidy. Drinks were served in a timely manner and food was good. There could be more variation on the menu, we stay every year whenever flying from Newcastle airport and the menu has always been the same. Beds were comfortable with a nice bathroom area. Plenty of sockets available for electronic goods. Check out was easy during the early hours and staff are always friendly. Would recommend for convenience, cleanliness and overall ambience."
