"We love the sound of the Sauk River rushing by. It is otherwise quiet here. A friendly husky came by to say hi to us a couple times when we were sitting outside. It was a restful stay. The cabin itself is comfortable, well supplied and clean. This is the second time we've come here. I'm sure we will return again."
Riverfront Paradise w/ Hot Tub--Little River House
10/10 Excellent
"Perfect spot for a quick weekend getaway. Family friendly and so peaceful. Very well equipped and a very cozy house. Will recommend this place with friends and family. Our host was extremely easy to communicate with in a very efficient way. "
Cozy mountain A-Frame cabin on river w hottub & views. Minutes from hikes & ski!
4/10 Poor
"The view is was the best part, but overall it was disappointing. Considering the size of the space, 145 felt like an outsized cleaning fee, so I was very put off to receive an additional list of check-out cleaning requirements with the check-in instructions. At the very least, the cleaning list should be included with the booking information so it's clear what the cleaning fee does (and does NOT) cover. On top of that, the place was not particularly clean: -the stacked plates were wet in-between them (probably due to the requirement that clean dishes be put away and not left on drying mat) - the hot tub had a band of grease/scum along the waterline, but was also overwhelming full of chlorine. It was gross and we barely used it. -lots of cobwebs and dust in the loft On our final night, the smoke/CO2 detector began malfunctioning with an error message every 10 minutes or so. Because there was no wifi or cell service (something I had originally seen as a positive) I had no way to contact the host, and had the unfortunate choice between disabling the detector and getting no sleep. I messaged the host about this as soon as I could the next morning, and he never responded. It's also worth noting that the location is not nearly as private as it seems. There are cabins close on both sides, one less than 20 feet away. "
