"Was a lovely well needed date night with my husband while my parents were visiting from the UK. Fantastic property with really high end features. I gave 4 for the online description as the stairs in the property are steep & very deep which was fine for us but may be tricky for some folk. Will definitely try & stay there again! "A+ 10 out of ten!! (But don't tell anybody.) The setting and scenery at The Whistling River Cabin are unbelievable. And the large deck is built to take full advantage of it. The hosts didn't miss a detail. Even the kitchen was very well equipped and was surprisingly well-stocked with items we did not expect to find. The gas grill was brand new. We enjoyed the hot tub and sauna, plus the wood-burning stove inside. Comfortable beds. Clean throughout. Great sitting areas outside and inside. Fantastic river access for our morning cold-plunge. The hosts were gracious and helpful throughout our stay. This really is an exceptional place - run by exceptional hosts. Thank you! "

"We just wanted a quiet get away for a couple of days close to the North Cascades. We had hoped to see the fall foliage but it turned out we came a couple weeks early for the best of that. We stopped by the ranger station there in Darrington, and then drove up to Rockport and on to Newhalem to see what fall leaves we could. The cabin was quiet, clean and cozy. We loved sitting in the hot tub on the back deck and also sitting beside the Sauk River in the back of the property."
