"This was a perfect country retreat and antidote to busy, crowded Oxford. The room was clean and spacious, with everything we needed. This is not a walk to the city - you will need a car or you will need to become very friendly with the excellent local bus system, but the exchange is an absolute charmer of a real traditional country inn and pub. My only complaint is that the morning coffee set-up was coffee in a bag, which was tasteless and gritty. A little Nespresso machine would go a long way for those of us who need a good cuppa first thing!"

"Great staff. Coffee maker not working. Staff offered to come check it but we were out and about too much. Room was small but clean and comfortable. Two wall hangers each, no wardrobe. Ok for a weekend. No fridge :( Bathroom small, but OK. Great base to visit local places like Witney. Half the price if hotels in Oxford, just 25 minutes. Free parking on site."

"We stumbled onto the Artist’s Residence, and fell in love with it. There room s are so cozy and so artfully designed and decorated. The staff was wonderful. They helped in any way they could. The pub is from another era, a wonderful era. The food is great. The other customers were friendly and interesting. Next time we are anywhere near the area, we’re going to be staying there."

"Our 2 night stay at The Bell was enjoyable. Our room and the en-suite was clean, well presented and quite comfortable although the mattress was showing some signs that it will soon need to be replaced! Breakfasts were delicious, well cooked, generously portioned and a good quality. Our one evening meal was equally good and felt home cooked - far superior to the more usual Green King pub fare we’ve had. On both evenings the 2 real ales on offer were excellent – CAMRA take note! Andy, the landlord was most helpful and certainly went out of his way to ensure our stay went smoothly. Other staff and Ducklington village locals were friendly and welcoming. Guests should be aware of the total absence of any on-site car parking and street parking is not that easy to find in this village."

"The hut was very clean and comfortable and suited the four of us perfectly. We also appreciated the fact that there were only two other huts in the field and there was space between them. Despite arriving quite late our hostess met us and made sure everything was ok. The swimming pond is a wonderful bonus and we would definitely return. Thank you!"

"Lovely little cottage, perfect for a short stay (wish we had longer!) local to Oxford, Cotswolds & as a stopover from north to south as just off M40/A34. Managed Ok even in hot weather as a fan provided & bathroom was fab. Would have been nice to be able to open up the rear door for patio breakfast rather than walk around the side but not there long enough to be an issue. Opposite the church so had a musical alarm call from the bells on a Sunday norning which was novel & as expected for village life. Nice pub in walking distance. Thanks for a great stay, definitely come back when next in the area."
