"The location is perfect for visiting Jaen, right in the heart, with a public car park 200m away (no vehicle access to square) Breakfast was good, the staff helpful. A big problem is, you can hear every sound made in the adjacent room as though they were in your own room, including bathroom noises. We had to ask reception to ask the people in the next room to kill the noise at 12.30am, didn't get to sleep for another hour. The safe didn't work, the in room phone didn't work, we had to go down 2 floors at 12.30am to speak to reception. The windows didn't lock. Would only go back if these problems were resolved."

"This place looks kinda cute in the lobby, like you get in to late 80s, but the room felt really old and outdated. Our room had some old things kind is smell. Pillow and bed was ok, sheets were clean. The room didn’t have comforters, just some plaid. Sink were not draining well. This hotel doesn’t feel like 4 stars at all. Parking is not very easy, and there hard to find a place to load off the luggage. We were on the first floor yet there were some stairs which makes it harder to carry the luggage. There was no one who offered a help with luggage at the hotel. As for me, I wouldn’t stay there again. It’s time to renovate hotel."

"The hotel is surrounded by nature and ideal for people who enjoy peace and quiet. Also ideal for those travelling with pets. The restaurant serves good food and hotel staff where very friendly. Our room was clean and had comfy beds. On-site parking available. Only downside was an 'occasional' stench in the room from the drains."

"A sold 8/10, good size rooms, mine was a roof room, I could imagine this would get very warm during the summer months, the bed and bedding were excellent, the room was a little tired, the velux blinds frayed around the edges, as a result they let light in. The outdoor roof pool is unusable, wonderful veiws from up there, but the space really needs a make over. I didn't use the spa. The location is amazing, the staff wonderfull, the parking is problematic, the Bar is great, I didn't use the resteraunt. I honestly would sray here again, it represents good value for money. In fact I'm very much looking forward to going back to Ubeda! Amazing part of the world."

"Enchanting hotel that was evident from the time we drove up to the property and until we departed. Staying in a parador is always a treat and this one added an extra special experience looking out from our balcony and walking on the path through by a centuries old castle. Add to this the wonderful staff who met all of our needs to make this an unforgettable stay. We are looking forward to a return stay in the near future!"

"During Semana Santa, Montserrat should make sure they give rooms to their hotel’s customers as far away as possible from the bar where the restaurant’s customers party until 4 am! I was here to rest and sleep. It was possible from 4.30 am after the staff rearranged the bar and the annoying metallic chairs."

"Clean, basic room with good air-conditioning. The lady at reception was lovely. Hot water comes on after 5 pm."
