"The room was clean, we were upgraded to a superior room, as we were staying 5 nights and they are the rooms that have a microwave. There was no tea towel, no forks, no washing up detergent or anything like that, very basic.
The pool wasn't in operation, it was empty, for all the tine we were there, no mention of that when we checked it.
It's just a basic motel, not a resort.
Plus the large rubbish skip bin is in the driveway on the way to the units, it smelt putrid as you walked passed...

My grandchildren and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If my grandchildren could they would have lived in the pool. The owners were extremely helpful and very friendly which enhanced our stay!
Thank you for making our stay memorable! My grandchildren raved about staying at Kauri Park 😊
We’ll definitely stay again!

I had a one night stay and was impressed by the loveliness of the staff, the comfort of the room and the deliciousness and service of the Wahi staff. I was blessed to have a beautiful, sunny winter weekend and the way the room was set up made the most of the view. Effortless stay. Thank you.

Haka House has the best location. Incredible views from the common area. Check-in was easy with clear instructions for arriving after hours. Room was clean and bed was comfortable.
Only downside was ensuite has a bit of a sewery smell. With door shut it doesn't impact the bedroom.

Have to stay again. Came from Paihia thinking I might be dissapointed. I wasnt, beautiful sea views, sounds and smells. Great staffwith extras, i.e. ice and laundry facilities, more than your regular continental breakfast. I will be back!!

The staff were very obliging, moving us to a groundfloor room when they realised I had a dodgy knee. Pauline and the staff in the restaurant and bar were knowledgable about tourist things to do and when my husband brought fish back from a fishing trip, the Chef cooked it to perfection. Excellent Wifi connectionenabled me to stay in touch with the family back in Australia. I would stay there again if I am fortunate enough to return to Paihia. I loved the extra touch of a gift bag encouraging us...

This is such a lovely retreat, all credit to manager Kelly and her family. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and it was much appreciated.
The refurbished rooms were nice, clean and warm and the private shower was awesome.
We had an awesome time and were lucky to see two kiwi on the grass near the bush even though it was raining, and we heard lots more. It was really magical!
