"All good. We had a one bedroom apartment with a washing machine which was handy and well appointed kitchen. Comfortable and regular room service. Suited us perfectly. Car parking can be busy but we managed."

"The actual place looks like it shouldn’t be open, looks like a construction site but nothings being done. The one room that looks like it’s to be used that we were given smelt like it had been completely coated in bleach it was that strong that it burnt the nose hairs. We gave the key back and the person there asked why, we said we decided to keep going - not happy at all and wasted $200!!"

"Beautiful views! Glamping tents were so spacious and the kitchenette was so well appointed. Michelle was very welcoming and even built a fire for roasting marshmallows. A great alternative choice for staying near Alice Springs. Only 10 minutes from town. We stayed in July, which was pretty cold in the mornings though we did sleep warm with comforters and electric blankets. "The place looked abandoned & not open. Absolutely zero communication from the host about checkin process. The property had no access, was surrounded by a high wall & had high grass surrounding it on all sides. I repeat - it looked abandoned & very sketchy. My husband decided not to even stay there because it did not look to be in a safe area. We went to the Hilton Doubletree instead, which is a lovely hotel in Alice. I cannot recommend anything at all about VATU Sanctuary. "

"THE " Heavitree Gap Outback Lodge " was just such a refreshing place to stay at minimal cost. The staff at reception "LESLIE AND PAGE were so helpful and refreshingly honest in their attitude towards customers and their respective jobs. The cleaning and room preparation was excellent and the cleaning staff were most obliging in providing extra service if there was a requirement.. such as sugar, tea, milk, blankets etc. Kudos to the groundsmen for their efforts to keep all clean and tidy."

"This hostel is perfect for travellers doing a guided outback tour. You can leave your big luggage there for free and they offer super early breakfast, because the tour operators pick you up early morning usually."
