"Not worth it. Way over priced! We stayed one night. Staff are very nice. But the place is of a by gone era. It’s old but not in a charming way. Showers in the onsen are cold and you have to wait for many minutes in order for hot water to come out. Only basic dormitory style rooms were offered with public bath which had water pressure problem that 2 cannot wash at the same time. Wish more clarification on the booking sites for this. "

"This stay was like an oasis for us. Very relaxing and comfortable. It is located in such a great spot with very easy access to the sites in Matsumoto. The hotel was impeccably clean. The room was very comfortable with a really nice shower. Michio was so kind and helpful! She helped us set up a private onsen time and arranged our luggage to be sent to our next hotel. Matsumoto was a delightful stop on our trip and I would highly recommend staying at Nunoya!"
