"This is a nice hotel but a bit far from downtown area. Our bedroom was very nice and had a little terraza just for two overlooking the ionian sea. Superb! Nice staff, we borrowed a current adaptor without problems. The only observation is that bathrooms should be inspected once in a while. The water in our sink would not go down, but we were able to enjoy our stay. Breakfast is not included in this hotel."

"I have stayed at Villia Vanisia now for a total of 6 weeks over the course of 3 different visits during the past 4 years. I rent villas all over Italy, and I can honestly say that Villa Vanisia is my favorite. The villa itself is exquisite, decorated with antiques and full of warmth and character. The kitchen is spacious and very well-equipped, which is rare for Italian villa rentals. The owners are incredible and beautiful people, eager to assist. When any problems arise, the issue is dealt with promptly. The location is ideal for both exploring Catania as well as Etna. I can't say enough good things about this property! I can't wait until my next visit!"

"The staff were really friendly and attentive. The rooms very clean and large. They set up an extra single bed for my son. The breakfast was delicious. They organised a driver to pick us up from the train and then to take us to the airport. He was a very careful driver. The pool area was much smaller than the view in the website. It was however very clean and there was bar service. The atmosphere was really relaxing and chilled. It is a little dangerous to walk anywhere from the hotel as there are no pavements. It is a long walk to town and the beach, however they offer a free transfer 3 times a day. If I was to go again it would be better if we had a car , but probably won't return as we like an evening walk and it wasn't nice to walk nearby."
