"The hotel was conveniently located. Did not use the bar/restaurant. The room was comfortable and well maintained. The one issue was the TV… not sure if it was the aspect ratio, the settings, the equipment connected to the TV, or the TV itself, but every channel looked bad to the point of being uncomfortable to watch. Blurry, over-zoomed, under-zoomed, or just bad, the quality of the image resembled a cam recording, where someone goes to a movie theatre and records a movie on their phone and then puts the recording on the internet, but the problem was with every channel and it often seemed like the aspect portion of the problem wasn’t the same on every channel, leading me to think that the equipment connected to the TVs and the TVs themselves might both be the problem."

Idyllic Hideaway for Two ...or one!

"I'm scared to write too glowing a review thinking it will make Callayna's suite even more popular and it'll be booked solid when we try to come back!! But she deserves this review. The property is just idyllic if you want quiet and being up close and surrounded by nature. It's as if her home and its additions were airlifted into the woods at the mouth of Colquitz River that empties into the Gorge. You can walk right down to the shore and see for yourself. Go at sunset for an enchanted view of the waterways! She has made several 'surprising' natural pathways through the woods over her two acre estate. Her green thumb and designer's eye are everywhere; with flower pots and blooming trellis' and bushes and interesting woodland curiosities and resting places. The suite is creatively decorated with art from noted painter Andrew Wooldridge as well as other pieces and complementary accessories she has selected for the decor. Plank flooring, warm yellow walls, area carpets, two leather love seats and a dining tale for four are beyond the galley kitchen that if fully outfitted. Overhead lighting and several lamps set any mood you're looking for. The bedroom is an open loft overlooking the main floor with dresser and large closet. It is air conditioned if you ever need it. The bath has a six foot deep soaker tub and commode with a large venting skylight above. Linens and essentials are top quality. Finally, spacious private parking is right beside the suite. La voila!"
