"We stayed in Weighbridge 20 years ago and we were excited to return to our cozy cottage, so comfortable and warm. We want to return again and stay longer."

"Property could do with some refurb work, black mould in various places, place needs a good clean"

"The setting is idyllic in lovely peaceful surroundings, nature all around. The cottage is large, airy and bright and everything you could need was provided. Although quite a distance from Oban, the main road was pretty quiet and a pleasant drive. The pool was an added bonus, but the sauna wasn't working. We were there on the hottest weekend of the year, so didn't need the sauna."

"Melfort never disappoints; excellent staff and accommodation -only downside on this occasion, Shower of Herring closed until new people reopen it on 10 October. However, nearby Cufail Hotel supplied excellent meals."

Everything you need for a home from home holiday. Pool, jacuzzi, sky package all available beside the main reception. Community cottage available for your use in the walled garden area. "Everything in cottage and village is superb. Highly recommend cottage for couple or small family. We will return!"

"This is the second time we have stayed in walled garden.cottage no. 2. My two grandchildren love it but.I think maybe it could.do with a.wee freshen.up. On the other hand I cannot praise your customer service highly enough, especially one of your reception staff named Alwyn. She was the nicest , most helpful lady I have ever come across. I will definitely be back ."

"We were happy to stay for the first time at Melfort Village. It had everything that we needed and we were very comfortable. The staff was so great and friendly. We will miss our morning chats with them to tell them about our previous day's exploration and getting advice on where to go next. I would highly recommend Melfort Village for your next vacation!"

"Beautiful cottage with great outdoor space in the garden. Lovely to wake up to the numerous bird songs in the garden also the red squirrel 🐿️ who made several appearances. Would highly recommend this cottage to couples definitely a home from home, even our little dog settled in very quickly."

"Great stay in a beautifully presented cottage, highly recommend Melfort village. Second stay in the village first time in this cottage - fantastic"

"We stayed only two nights. The property is about 30 minutes outside of Oban at the edge of a smaller loch and just outside a small village. The staff was very accommodating and helpful, including when we had an issue (likely self-inflicted) with a washing machine. We would definitely stay again, and make time to stay longer and enjoy more of the area as well as the property’s many amenities. Strongly recommended."

"Beautiful cottage. We really enjoyed our stay and the stream behind and private garden was a treat. The facilities as always are wonderful and I hope that the shower of herring is open fully next year."
