The Hunting Lodge at Ragley Estate - sleeps 16 guests in 7 bedrooms
8/10 Good
"House was warm, clean and comfortable, Kitchen was reasonably equipped, lovely cake provided.
Location was good, close to Alcester, lots of local walks although we didn’t walk across the fields as too wet.
There were 10 of us and plenty of room but might be a bit of a squeeze around the table with too many more.
No instructions about recycling."

6/10 Okay
"Stayed in barn room. Corridors smelt heavily of damp. Room was clean but well worn with stains on carpet and drawers that didn’t stay closed. Limited hanging storage.
Nice grounds and spa good. Very friendly and helpful staff. However, waited over an hour for dinner order to arrive in the restaurant. Also, breakfast buffet needs replenishing/monitoring more frequently. Plus toaster needs replacing as unsafe.
Good location."
"We were two families who come together every February for our hot tub holiday and this did not disappoint!
The sunken hot tub was new to us and actually helped keep the wind off you! It was well maintained and looked after throughout our week stay which is excellent.
The house was big enough for all of us with a few little niggles which I’ve informed them about! Generally clean throughout and the beds comfy!
You could walk to the local town but it is a little bit of a walk - we did it a couple of times and enjoyed it!
The drive to the house is long and bumpy and hard to navigate first time in the dark but we managed it!
Overall a great place to stay!"

"Pretty clean, were a few cobwebs around. Was quite cold even with the heating turned right up and it’s not clear upon booking that it’s just feet away from a main A road so quite a bit of road noise when in the bedroom and sitting room. Bed is excellent, large and comfortable. Garden is big but due to some damaged fencing wasn’t totally enclosed and we had our dog so that wasn’t ideal. Hot tub would’ve been nice but it’s wood fired so would’ve taken 2-3 hours to heat up and wasn’t heated before arrival and I didn’t want to spend all afternoon tending to a fire outside. They only put 3/4 logs inside for the fireplace in the sitting room even though there was plenty in the shed outside so I’m not sure why they didn’t put more inside to last us our entire trip so instead I had to go outside to get more when it was raining. They did leave us a bottle of fizz and cake for arrival which was a nice thought. We walked our dog along the road which leads up to the main house, he was on a lead and didn’t go in any fields which were behind fences. The land owners wife came along told us we weren’t allowed to walk along there so we had to go back. We were made to feel not welcome and nowhere on the information for booking nor in the welcome back does it say we can’t walk along that road. Seems odd you’d open the lodge on site for dog friendly stays but not even allow people to walk along a road which starts right next to the lodge. Overall was okay and clean and cosy but I wouldn’t recommend it for people as there’s plenty of other places more suitable for a dog and with less things you have to do yourself to have a nice stay after paying for it."
