Beautifully presented B&B in a quiet location, our room was spacious, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was wonderful. We could not fault Swallows Rest and it well deserves a 10/10.

Lovely rural setting. Large room with separate TV area. Not luxurious but everything that’s needed including tea/coffee making gear. Clean and reasonable value for money. Breakfast was very good. We also had an outstanding dinner dining experience at the pub next door. A perfect pairing of the two establishments.

Have been disappointed in several other hotels here, but this one was lovely! Staff also really helpful. Onx/ly criticism is that we couldn't get a good latte, so hardly a major turn-off!

A real feeling of history about the hotel. Good food and service.
The location makes it "out of the way" but still convenient to many other places of interest.

The "annexe" is a wonderful place to stay (tastefully decorated and very comfy bed) and thoroughly recommend but like another reviewer, found it very difficult to find (and that was with sat nav AND asking people in the village!!). The address is actually the CORNER of Glen Road and Coulthorpe Lane.
Host Barney was quick to organise our evening meal for us at The Castle pub. Highly recommend as well but be prepared for the local villagers to be warm and inclusive!!!
