"We have stayed here many times over the years so this was quite upsetting for it to be as bad as it was, especially being for a milestone special event. The room was not what I had booked months in advance and it was filthy, so before we unpacked I cleaned. The onsite staff tried hard to make things right but it was clear that management did not care nor offer proper support to their staff, one of whom was crying when we went to our room due to being treated poorly by her employer. (On her first day I might add) The second day of our 3 night stay we were moved to the room I had originally booked which was also not completely clean and stunk. We met some wonderful guests and saw some that suggest this is about to be Campbell Rivers next SRO that management simply don’t care about. We heard how bad management is the entire time we were there from many of the staff. We were also told that the manager goes in and changes bookings to reflect a better availability of suites and the ability to charge more, which also occurred to us, I was charged more than $200 than the quoted online booking. As sad as it makes me I would definitely no longer recommend anyone booking here, and certainly will never stay again."
