Great pool, okay apartment. The check in was a bit average, we didn’t really get a welcome vibe. The pool was lovely though. Very expensive for what the room was, guess because of the location, maybe the time of year. Had a great dinner at the RSL across the road.

Although there was an issue with the electronic door lock, our host Karen went over and above to get us settled in. The cottage is tastefully decorated, has all mod cons, super comfy bed and is spotlessly clean, very centrally located and easy to find.Would highly recommend to anyone wishing to stay ...

Cooktown is fantastic - we spent 3 nights and could have had another few. Such a lovely little town with beautiful views and plenty to see and do.
Cooktown survives predominantly on tourism and they do a great job at it.
Cooktown is always beautiful to visit, my hometown is in the Cook Shire area, I live just up the road from Cooktown and Laura.
Make sure you visit the cook museum - also can recommend the sunset cruise on the river - the kids will enjoy the new promenade with the water park and anglers will enjoy the newly built jetties for fishing
Enjoyed the feeding of the giant gropers on sunset and a wonderful breakfast at the patisserie on the waterfront.
