"The room was great and the location is perfect! The only downside is they didn’t tell us we had a F&B credit until our second day, so lost a bit of money there."

"Based on the reviews and price of my stay, I expected the bare minimum and don’t have complaints besides the unusable WiFi and pillows which are so old that they smelled bad even through the clean pillow cases. I had to put my own pillow case I brought, as a second layer of coverage over it. Other than that, it was a good stay in a clean and small old world hotel that also happens to be in a fantastic location in the East Village. The AC in my room looked fairly new and worked very well through my stay so looks like they’ve addressed that issue which I saw in several reviews. My room had a nice large window with European style wooden doors over it to block light and some sound at night but allow for a sunlit room and a bit of charm during the day. There was also a large screen TV but without streaming capability. For the price and location, I’d book here again for a quick NYC stint. Worth noting: you have to pay in cash and pay for each night on that day instead of all at once when you check in."

(Love the theater; don't love navigating Times Square.) On this trip, special shoutout to Stacy, who greeted me and my daughter so cordially when we arrived late Sunday evening (Oct. 11th) and then the next day helped us with a logistical problem. Can't wait to visit again."
