Every room has Sea view - this view is way better than some of the expensive hotels on Marine Drive. Reasonably priced hotel with sea view worth waking up to. Clean and decent sized rooms with functional bathroom. Friendly staff who go the extra mile to offer great service. Lots of food options within walking distance. Very convenient location.

As I informed you in the check-in time time we got the booking for room Only basis for the deluxe room and that is the rate for the selected room which we have published on Expedia. As you mentioned it was appeared on your voucher as BB basis and seems it should be the system error from Expedia and not from our end. Kindly request to contact Expedia to rectify this matter and we will also acknowledge them regarding this issue. Thank you The ocean team

Courteous Hospiltality.
Staff is extremely courteous and very helpful. This is my 2nd stay with Ocean, in a room with the ocean-view. Room & the bathroom are well kept; very clean. You can have dinner even late at night in the ground floor restaurant. Service staff & the chef are very friendly with a very cheerful smiles. Service staff always make sure you are not hungry. I never experienced this much hospitality anywhere in the world.

Our stay here was lovely, and the views were great. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great time, helping us organise rides and tickets to events. The rooftop bar was closed for refurbishment while we were there so we didn't get to see it, but everything else was wonderful.

Stay was OK , the thing i didn't like about the hotel was bad Wifi and a surprise upgrade to triple bed roomSet.The bad part was that it was the same room with just three uneven beds..i dont know what they thought before upgrading a single occupancy room to Triple Bed.

Not as represented in photos and description
Staff are best asset but hotel is misrepresented. The location and amenities at this hotel are not as they are represented in the photos and the write up. It is on busy Marine Drive and the noise of traffic and the trains are heard through the hotel. There are views of the ocean but over a busy road and railway track. There is a coffee bar advertised but no such place exists. The Mint restaurant is small and the food average. The staff are lovely and keen to do every little thing to help which is why I give it a smiley face.

Good Hotel wiht value for money
This is nice hotel. With very good price options. I would say some of staff were really good. But there are some just not willing to help at all. I asked where is the nearest Coffee Cafe is and the hotel staff replied "can have coffee in the hotel" I said no wheer is the nearest cafe and the he said " Google it" Apartment some odd staff this hotel will do just fine.

The location is great but the reception staffs need to be trained more professionally to tailor to all the guests needs and questions. The room is clean and the rooftop bar is fantastic.

Best value in Colombo.!!
My second stay. Stayed for 2 weeks. Good value. Clean, comfortable, excellent service from all staff (too many to name) from the lovely doorman to front desk staff, catering, housekeeping. Good location. Easy to get three-wheelers or taxi. Many eating places close by. Lovely view of the sea. Good aircon and shower. Only a couple of issues for me personally. Limited choice on the menu for vegetarians. However many places close by and the hotel allows deliveries to the room. No CNN channel, but has BBC world service. Fully recommend it.

Beach view hotel
We recently stayed here for the very first time ( March 2018) for 4 nights. Very centrally located with room facing Indian Ocean, Room was cell kept with comfortable beds and nice clean bathroom. The break first buffet was excellent T with choices of both western and Srilankan cuisine. The roof top bar was a nice addition as well especially during night time for a well lighted night view of the city. I personally thank for Dulsie with the Mint Restaurant who was very friendly and curtiois. Nishanthi with House keeping was excellent. There was a young maintenance Guy who helped us with an an urgent luggage issue just prior to our departure. I will recommend this place very much.

Everything was good except food. They need to improve the quality of food. Overall experience was good. They don’t have smoking room so I had issue. They rooftop bar for smoking but that is also closed by 12 am.

Best bit was the service/staff - my partner was on crutches and everyone was very helpful and attentive. Good value hotel in a good location

Very nice hotel overlooking ocean
Helpful staff. Good location. Lovely views. Spacious room. Beautiful ocean outlook. Huge floor to ceiling Windows. Lounge suite and desk.
