Mountain Park Hotel

"Myself and my husband came for a 1 night stay and found the room cosy and modern with still a touch of quirkyness. Pros-- The bed was comfortable, the room had adequate extras - hair dryer, iron, fan, extra heater, towels, and tea and coffee facilities, staff nice and helpful.. Cons- not enough milks. We had enough for 1 cuppa each and we didn't come To drink alcohol etc so more milk would be good for those like us teapots. No handwash / shower gels in dispensers, only 1 loo roll. There was a wedding on and we hope the newly weds and their guests had a wonderful time. However we were kept ip With noise , going in to the early hours. By staff clearing up etc. and cars in and out all night for charging stations. My husband went to reception in the morning and they gave us a later check out time free of charge which was really appreciated."

"Lodges and hot tubs were fantastic . Just be aware, expedias check in times differ from that of herons , also you need to know they ask for a £60 returnable deposit when you arrive."

"Spent one night at the Springfield Hotel. Greeted by the friendly reception staff & given information of facilities & where to dine/relax with a drink etc before being directed to our room (which had been upgraded to executive) Lovely room (37) overlooking the estuary with everything to a high standard & comfy big bed. Woken at 8am by fire alarm & power cut but staff couldn’t have been more helpful & apologetic, although out of their control. Had a limited breakfast as a result but again nothing really to complain about. Overall a lovely brief stay & would definitely return."

"Gavin was a great host. Hotel in excellent position, parking wasn’t “on-site” but the car park in Dog lane is a two minute walk away and free(with pass provided by hotel). We had a small double and was big enough with nice bed , clothes hanging , tea /coffee/ biscuits and en-suite. Breakfast was good , we sat next to window on both days and was intrigued by historic graffiti etched into shutters. I would recommend to anyone who would like to visit area. But one word of caution if you have a crafter in your group bring a big wallet as Lavinia Stamps flagship store “ The Dreamatorium ” in very close.😉"
