A lovely stay with great views over the Dee estuary from the front. This is a high quality and high standard pub with excellent food, great beers and the accommodation was in well appointed and smart rooms. Service was excellent and a car park on site. The management and owners understand high standards and what hospitality is all about so you won’t be disappointed here.

Very comfortable, excellent breakfast there was a good choice of fresh fruit, cereal and a good choice of cooked breakfast. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We would definitely stay again.

Give this a miss
First time staying at this pub, visiting family. I wouldn't stay here again sadly. My main issue was the heat in the rooms and hotel in general (which I heard other guests complaining about). Despite being the middle of December, the rooms were uncomfortably and stiflingly hot even with the window fully open and any radiators turned off (although the pipes remained baking hot). I ended up borrowing 2 fans (not from the hotel as the one they provided was useless) which is ridiculous given the time of year. Whilst breakfast was nice, I didn't see a single window open to let any form of fresh air in. You will also get the pungent smell of food cooking drifting into your room when the early morning cooking starts. Beds were comfortable but the room we had was poorly designed with too much clutter making them feel claustrophobic. Parking was a pain as we had to wait for people to leave to get a space. As mentioned above, we won't be returning to this pub/hotel. I find it irritating that people who do hospitality, can't even get the basics right.

The staff were extremely laid back & friendly. Our room overall was very comfortable except for the bed mattresses. Both could be replaced. Morning breakfast was good but service was slow. I would return and stay again.
