This is a lovely property, clean with comfortable beds and a great kitchen to cook in. My mum, brothers and I had a great time and on the way home mum was saying how she'd love to go back and stay in exactly the same place again :-)

A perfect place for a family stay
The house was exactly as advertised. It had almost everything we needed and was in very good condition when we arrived which meant we had a very good start to our holiday. Also, the Xmas tree and decorations were very much appreciated - many places don't do this anymore.
2 requests - some oven gloves and a rack or something similar in the ensuite shower to put shampoo, etc. on.

Nice house in a lovely village
Very clean, nice comfy beds and spacious. The area is lovely and the local pub The Wychwood Inn is very nice and friendly.
My only improvements would be a proper frying pan and better kitchen utensils, as could bake a cake, but not easily fry an egg! Also, perhaps some extra bean bags in sitting room for bigger groups.
Lovely house and recommended for sure.

Perfect location for a Cotswold stay
Myrtle House is a fabulous location, not busy like many of the tourist sights. We loved the layout of the house and for us the beautiful books and artworks made our stay but this isn't what everyone is looking for. A lovely place to stay, with good amenities.

Spacious House in Good Location
We stayed in Myrtle House whilst visiting the Cotswolds for a family wedding. Located in a very nice village within walking distance to convenience store and good pub. Communication from booking to arrival was excellent. Our party was 6 adults and 2 children and the house gave us plenty of space and everything we needed including well stocked kitchen. All beds were very comfortable .
We wouldn’t hesitate to return to Myrtle House again.

Beautiful, large, cosy cottage
Myrtle House is a large, cosy cottage. It was very warm and the interior was beautifully decorated. We loved the artwork! The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. It was so useful having the little shop over the road for any essentials we may have forgotten. So lovely that dogs are welcome.
It was perfect for us wedding guests who were attending a family wedding at Merriscourt.
A lovely cottage, perfect for exploring the beautiful Cotswolds which looked stunning with the autumn colours.
Thank you.

Great place for visiting the Cotswolds
We rented this cottage to visit the Cotswolds with my family (seven people) through the Stay Cotswolds platform. The location, very close to Burford, is ideal for visiting Oxford, Straton-upon-Avon, and the many Cotswold villages.
The house was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The relationship with Stay Cotswolds was clear and professional throughout.
I definitely recommend it.

Comfortable stay with great location
We had a lovely stay at Myrtle house over Christmas. The house was very well equipped and of a good size to ensure all 5 of us weren't under each others feet. The bedrooms were all a good size with extremely comfortable beds and bedding. The Internet speed was fast considering we were in a village which please our son as he could play on his games console. All in all, we had a great Christmas and family get together.

Comfortable House
The house was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. It was easy to find and well located, we had a good meal at The Wychwood.
The house was not as clean as we would have expected, quite dusty. The hot water was incredibly hot and the showers difficult to adjust which made them difficult to use.
We felt that there were not really enough mugs or glasses for a house sleeping eight people.

Lovely and Comfortable
Myrtle House was a joy to stay in. Received a personal phone call from the house manager to let me know the house was ready and to give him a ring if I had any trouble with anything. There was a nice little welcome in the fridge; my kids really enjoyed the biscuits and milk. The garden was so lovely! Even though it's close to the road and therefore a bit noisy to sit out in the garden, the privacy hedge and beautiful flowers more than make up for it. The beds are very comfortable. With four bedrooms and plenty of living space we had room to spare. Highly recommend.

The best choice for relaxation and meditation
We really liked the place in terms of design, quiet location, and the availability of basic household needs. Breakfast was also provided (eggs, milk, cakes), in addition to a coffee machine, microwave, and bread toaster. There was washing machine, dryer and iron.
Having a sun room is a great idea, as well as an outdoor dining table, a grocery store nearby, and a bus stop in front of the house. The hosts are very helpful and quick to solve problems. In short, it was like we were in a beautiful dream.

Nice place, but needs some work
Overall the place was fine. It's in a pretty area and had plenty of room for our family of seven. Nice touches like wood in the fireplace and eggs/milk in the refrigerator were really appreciated. Be advised that there is a washing machine for laundry, but no dryer or drying rack. Owners should at least buy a drying rack for the house so laundry has a place to air-dry. The house could really use a deep cleaning. It wasn't terribly gross or anything, but it needs more than just tidying up between renters. We also had the bizarre problem of the shower water being incredibly hot and actually a bit difficult to turn down to a comfortable temperature. We eventually kind of got it working, but owners should take a look at shower water temperature and make sure its clear how to turn it down. At it was, it was fine, but if they fix those couple of things this place would really be outstanding.

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Nice but could be great. 5pm check in very late. Tried to ask for a slightly early check in. Agent told me to speak to property manager. Property manager didn’t reply and never called back. Still being cleaned at 4.30 anyway. Instructions for waste impossible as no food waste bags and food waste bin was full. Looked like it had been full for weeks. No big waste bin. Very kind on departure day, letting us wait in the house for the RAC when the car wouldn’t start.

Needs a thorough clean :/
The house is in a good location but it really needs some care taken to it before it is habitable.
The major issue in the house is the mould. There is heavy mould in several of the rooms, which I believe affected our group to the point the majority were coughing when we left. When we entered the property we were hit with a smell of mould / damp. It is really not hygienic or good for your health to be sleeping in a room with mould.
There is also a heavy amount of dust, cob webs and dead insects around. This is quite surprising that the house was not properly cleaned, since check in time was not until 5pm on the Friday, and check out was at 10am. This is the earliest and latest time I’ve seen yet the house was still dirty.
We also messaged to see if we could get a slightly later check out (in advance of seeing the property..), but didn’t receive a response.
