"First, this is not a hotel. It's a property operated by the owner. So it doesn't have those hotel facilities. The property is located inside the West Lake (Xihu) scenery district. So it's quiet and walking distance to those West Lake must-see places. The owner is very friendly."

We had to go back to the reception to get another card for another room. Wifi password was provided only after we asked for it. But the connection was very bad. No breakfast provided. "It’s very hard to find this place. It isn’t visible from the road and there is no visible sign near the road and the driver went in circles for some time. The rooms are not well-kept so it has a feeling of a youth hostile. Staff was nowhere to be seen at check out so I gave my key to a random guy. They never cleaned my room or gave me fresh towels. The location by the lake is amazing but this place needs new management. It looks much better on Expedia then in real life."
