Everyone is very friendly, the room is small but very clean. The breakfast is tasty with pumpkin porridges, eggs and many other dishes. You can walk to many scenic places of the West Lake. There are also good restaurants close by. Overall the service meets or exceeds the North American standards.

Excellent Homestay

I had a wonderful week long stay, relaxing from a long trip, doing some research and exploring world famous West Lake. The park and pavilions are reminiscent of “Old China.” All less than a beautiful ten minute stroll away! The staff is extraordinary!!! Friendly, helpful, concerned about your stay.

Excellent walkable location to all the sites in west lake and everything downtown is a quick car ride as well. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and the service is amazing. Enjoyed the breakfast as well.

Hotel was extremely homely and welcoming, just as the staff and owner were. We wanted to stay somewhere outside of town to get an experience closer to “locals”, and this hotel did not disappoint. Everything was clean, and I got a better night’s sleep here than our last stop in a big hotel. It’s so cosy, and the breakfast also deserves a mention; very healthy and tasty. Thank you so much for making our stay so memorable!

Absolutely worth visiting

We are absolutely delighted with our stay at this boutique hotel! The location is perfect with a 10 minute walk to the lake. There are many cute coffee shops or tea houses in the area. The staff is extremely helpful and hospitable. When we arrived, they welcomed us with a hot tea. It felt like we were not in a hotel. Everything was clean and the interior of the hotel was charming on its own. Without any doubts we can admit it was our best stay in China. We would recommend it if you are looking for a relaxing, homey, independent hotel.

Good but can be better.

For the price i paid, its fine. But i should have paid a bit more to get a better hotel. Location wise is near west lake but the best location as you need a taxi to get to the place. But i would like to commend the reception staff. They are very friendly.

Location was the best

We enjoyed our stay here. But you need to know this isn’t a big hotel. It’s like a house been broken up into little rooms with ensuites. Room are small but did the trick. Breakfast is made for you once you come down. So it’s nice and fresh. Only down size is the rooms have thin walls. So once breakfast starts 7.30am we will be woken up. Which wasn’t a problem but just letting people know. Would I stay here again? Yes I would. Location was amazing.

This property is a beautiful area of West Lake. I would stay again, however, the staff didn't speak English and they would not accept VISA for payment. That was a big surprise and caused a major hassle with payment. Had to find a cash machine to make withdraw money for the payment. I should have been told ahead of time that cash would be required.
