Saganaga Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"We just moved here from Georgia to Sturgeon Lake and wanted to travel over the holiday weekend to see some other parts of Minnesota. This place was the only place on Expedia that was available at the time. We did not know at the time of purchase that it was remote, however, the host were nice enough to message us and for us to go ahead and stop at grocery stores if needed and fill up if needed because there was no grocery stores anywhere around the room was clean Neet and had absolutely no odor. The property was gorgeous. We really only used the room to sleep in because we were gone all day, but we’re able to wake up first thing in the morning and see the beautiful sunrise that I took pictures of and then on the way back into the lodge last night on the dirt road, we seen a beautiful sunset also took pictures of those, but it was really nice waking up in the morning and going to sit on the patio and have a cup of coffee and watch the sunrise the only negative things, I could probably say is that, I wish the room had a TV in it and the only other thing is that the neighbors were extremely noisy but other than that, everything went well and everything was wonderful!!!"

"Beautiful property overlooking lake. The fire pit and canoe/kayaks were real pluses! Very well stocked kitchen and nice appliances. Beds were comfortable. Lots of towels and washcloths. Owner is clearly a knowledgeable botanist, gardener, herbalist. Our party included 4 adults and a 4 year old. We all had a blast!"
Haven at Loon Lake

"Very nice property and cabin stay"
Whole lodge can sleep 30! Great family getaway. Exempt motor permit available.

"Having the whole facility to ourselves gave us the privacy we wanted, although a public access to the lake was right next door which received use by many people each day. The private dock area permitted us access without being affected by public use.Canoeing was great as we saw a moose along the shoreline. Fishing for small mouth was very slow. At night very area was very quiet. We were able to realize somewhat of an isolated experience, for those that needed on-line access the connection was good and stable. The refrigerator was a bit small for our group of 11 for 5 days - we brought all of our groceries with us since shopping was an hour drive away. The caretaker was a friendly guy who tried hard. For a large group this was a good place to stay. The hands-on natural history museum just down the road was well staffed and had a lot to offer young and old at a reasonable cost."

Waterfront Log Cabin on Lake Saganaga with Motor Exempt Permit Available.
10/10 Excellent
"We had an amazing stay at this cabin! We had three couples and all of our children, and there was more than enough room for everyone to spread out comfortably. The outdoor space was lovely, we loved having a fire each night. The dock was convenient, easy to access, and perfect for spending time on the water. The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and responsive throughout our stay. We would absolutely recommend this cabin and would love to come back!"

"What an Amazing location! I was so impressed. I’m certainly happy I could bring my my dog to also enjoy such a remote place. Room was clean and the whole place looked great. Next time I’ll have to try the sauna!"
