"We had a great time at the Norse Hus! The cabin was cozy and warm once we lit a fire upon arrival, and just right for us. The heating system kept us very comfortable throughout our stay. We found a few games and puzzles in the porch chest. The kitchen was well stocked and included coffee filters, creamers, cocoa, and condiments! Thanks! The cabin is in the woods and we enjoyed exploring the "backyard" woods in snowshoes and stargazing at night. We ate out a few times at nearby Poplar Haus, Hungry Jack Lodge, and Gunflint Lodge. The snow was great for XC skiing at Golden Eagle Lodge and Bearskin Lodge. Megan was very responsive to our questions before our arrival. We hope to return in the future! It's a beautiful area!"

"This cabin was close to Grand Marais but far enough away that it was a great, quiet place to come back to after a day of sight seeing. Included a small kitchen with everything we needed to cook some meals. Living room, bathroom, and bedroom all on the same level. Nice screened windows on a porch on 2 sides -- was a great place to sit and read. Nice deck. And a GREAT outdoor shower! Ralph was a great host! I think the surroundings and the quiet made this a great place to stay. Thank you Ralph!"

"Very clean. Very quiet. Beautiful location. Very nice host. If you are looking for a getaway to escape the routine and distractions of life, this is the place. The Gunflint Trail will not disappoint."

"Only caveat was that we expected three bedrooms and there were two. The "third" was a room with a foldout couch and a higher-quality air mattress, no closet or storage for clothes, and a sliding screen for privacy. Also, two twin beds were in a three-season porch that was less secure. That inconvenience was superceded by the marvelous kitchen and eating area and the expansive, comfortable deck overlooking the lake. One improvement that several in our party suggested was brighter lighting in the living room. Overall, all nine of us had a rewarding week swimming, fishing, hiking Blueberry Hill, and visiting the nearby museum."
