Bikers, Hikers, Kayakers, this Cozy 3 bedroom 1950's bungalow along Lake Santeetlah is located less than a mile off of HWY129 with easy access from the Tail of the Dragon and the Cheoah River Rapids.. We have covered motorcycle parking. Just 5 minutes to Santeetlah Marina, and a short drive to Joyce Kilmer National Forest, Cherohala Skyway, hiking,biking and kayaking! Great for a family or group of friends for a rustic retreat. This simple cottage has a wonderful front porch and open living dining space with lots of windows and a large farm table with plenty of room for card games or hearty breakfast. We have a full kitchen to prepare meals . We have a washer and dryer for your convenience.There is a full oven and stove, microwave, refrigerator and Keurig coffee maker.

Cute house small yard well stocked

My only complaint is the yard is a bit small and close to the road (we have 2 small kids) good news the road was not super busy

Very happy with location especially to location for tail of the Dragon. Also enjoyed the surrounding area. Very quiet and peaceful and all local people who we had contact with were exceptionally friendly and courteous. Host was very accommodating and promptly answered any questions or concerns.

We enjoyed our stay. Cottage was quiet and comfortable. Plenty of room for our group of 5. Just a few minutes outside Robbinsvile and a short drive to the Cherohala Skyway, Tail of the Dragon, and Fontana Dam. Would definitely stay here again!

Overnight for Tail of the Dragon

Self check in and out. Clean, stocked with clean towels and linens. We were not here long enough to cook for ourselves, but that is a big factor when I book stays. This had a full kitchen, grill, fire pit, washer, dryer and ample space to eat and lounge. Plenty of off street parking for our cars. In between the Tail and town. We will be looking to stay here again.

Great Value- Great Location

We took the motorcycles out for a trip. The cabin is at the end of The Tail of The Dragon. We rode many beautiful roads from the cabin. It’s does have a musty smell but everything was nice inside. Little cover for the two bikes.

Beautiful little home in a great location to the Dagon’s Tail and the Cherohala Skyway. One bed was a little low for anyone with mobility issues but they were all very comfortable! Lots of amenities and the host was super helpful. She had her dad replace the broken coffee pot the same day I reported it was not working. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood close to a beautiful lake and has cover parking for motorcycles and provides rags to clean them if you need to. I would absolutely recommend it to friends or family and hope I get the opportunity to stay again in the future!

Needs a great deal of work

Three bedrooms and we could only use two since the other bed squeaked so bad, I slept on it instead of one of the couples and we had to use the couch. That was a problem with the yard light shinning in both windows Put the covers over your head. No soap in the shower so we had to wait until our next stop to shower. The water was so bad we use the bottle water to brush teeth. Fire had occurred in one room on door to the furnace . No ice trays, dish cloths to do dishes. It was a place we couldn't wait to get away from. Worst in all my VRBO rentals. I would like some money back on the rental since it was so subpar. How do I do that?

Adorable place. Amy has really thought of everything from the board games, kids toys, kitchen set-up, grill, etc. The only issue we had was that most of the windows weren't capable of locking. We had young kids with us and it was a concern staying in an unfamiliar place. We would definitely stay there again. It was a great location and great value. Thank you :)

A Shower Renovation Away

Very good location for driving enthusiasts in the area for the roads. Set on a quiet road just off Hwy 129 and less than 10 minutes from the conveniences of Robbinsvillle. Awesome owner!!

This was the second time staying at the Collins cottage location. Would have been the third year but was booked up for the dates I needed it last year. The owner of the property is the best and love staying here. Was able to accommodate some of my requests and that alone is enough to have me coming back. Right in between the tail of the dragon and the skyway. For the price it's hard to beat since everything is more expensive and with a group of guys just needing a place to sleep between our rides it lines up perfect for us. Thanks again.
