"Staffing all friendly and helpful. Small restaurant but served good food. Also friendly staff there too. Valet was pricey but efficient. No street parking available. Only minor issue is housekeeping cleans rooms every other day. Did not expect that, so For a family of 4, we had to request more bath towels."

"We needed a place to lay our heads for one night in Phoenix not too far from the airport and found it at the Downtown Hotel. It's more a two-story motel with a central parking lot monitored by video surveillance. Someone checked us in without delay when we arrived a little past midnight, having reserved it only an hour previous. Our only complaints were cosmetic: the handle of the mini fridge fell off, and the paint was peeling around the floor molding in the bathroom. The sun blazed through the uncurtained bathroom window in the morning such that I had to wear sunglasses to enter. But our praise is cosmetic too: Bowie pillow and abstract wall paint for the win! I wouldn't hesitate to overnight here again. Thanks very much."

"This is an historic hotel. Of you expect modern amenities like, you'll be disappointed. We enjoyed the historical pictures and ambiance. We were disappointed that the pool was being renovated, but we understood. Overall, it was comfortable, close to where.we wanted to be, and the price was right. I would visit here again."

"Check in and check out representatives both seemed like it was their first day. The pool is pathetic and old. The common areas except for the 1st floor restaurant are showing their age. I had a cold shower this morning with very little water pressure. I was not impressed with this hotel and I travel frequently. The 1st floor restaurant was great, both service and food."
