"We booked a room at The Fox Hall at the very last minute, as we are attending a wedding nearby the next day. It was really just for convenience and we weren't that bothered about exactly where we stayed. That said, what an absolute gem The Fox Hall is! From a very friendly greeting, a delightful room and an excellent supper, we feel very lucky to have stumbled across it and we're planning to return (intentionally!) soon! "

"Great last minute night away with kids. Lovely hotel, friendly staff and brilliant leisure facilities! Mark couldn't be more helpful! If there was one down side, the restaurant menu could do with a revisit (very limited) and the beautifully cooked steak and fresh fish were very much let down by the frozen chips! BUT, the breakfast was amazing! Will definitely visit again!"

"Our stay at the Golden Fleece was great! Easy check-in, lovely room. Food in the evening was great but we didn't have breakfast so can't comment. Easy walkable distance to James Herriot’s house. Parking very easy and felt secure! All in all very nice."

"Rudby Hall is a gorgeous property set in beautiful Yorkshire countryside - very quiet and peaceful; amazing Manor House flavour; amazing autumn colours; and amazing hosts! The room was beautiful and spacious and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was modern-functional! Definitely worth a visit again for a longer stay!"

"Wow! What a hotel, from the moment we arrived at the hotel to when we left, everything was superb. The staff were very helpful, nothing was too much for them, greeting you at the door and collecting your luggage, parking your car, a hello and a smile from everyone you met. Our room was excellent, large comfy bed, lovely bathroom with a loo that lifted its own lid and had a heated seat, which my wife thought was wonderful! The restaurant we had dinner in, Fletchers, was excellent. The food was cooked and presented beautifully. Breakfast again was excellent, all local produce cooked to perfection. We had an afternoon in the Spa which was great, well equipped with pools, saunas, Jacuzzi and even a snow room for the brave! For a treat we enjoyed a full body massage each from two well trained masseur’s which we thoroughly enjoyed. The grounds of the hotel are beautifully manicured and clean with plenty of room for a walk among the 30 acres of grounds. This is a hotel we will definitely return too in the future."
