"I was awakened at 12.20am by the guest next door slamming his door. I rang Reception and they said they would have a word with him. That didn't work. The next night he woke me up at 4.30am. I rang Reception: the receptionist said they couldn't hear the door slam (I was on the 5th floor). When I insisted, they moved me to a room that was badly in need of refurbishment. They have not yet agreed to refund me for the two sleepless nights, despite admitting that the behaviour of the guest next door...
"Unique and interesting decor. Very dog friendly and the breakfast was great. There's a lovely Italian restaurant (pizza pizza) just down the road (not open on a Monday though). We stayed at this hotel in the way to Portugal in March and in the way back to the UK in May and we were certainly happy to visit a second time."
"The window curtains do not keep the heat out in the morning. We were on a higher floor that received the morning sun, but the AC could not keep up with the heat coming in from the sun. The AC definitely worked later in the day, but the hotel needs to invest in black out curtains."
