First Landing Beach Resort and Villas

"We had a lovely 7-night stay at First Landing Resort. The highlight was the staff. Miriam, Lani, Inai and the team were very friendly, welcoming and always went above and beyond. Their hospitality made our stay special. We stayed in the Royal Villa, which has an amazing location with a private pool and the beach right in front. The villa is starting to show its age and would benefit from an uplift, particularly the bathrooms, lounge areas and furnishings. The TV could also be updated to a smart TV so guests can connect their phones and use streaming services. The villa was cleaned every day, which was great. A few things could be improved — we had to ask for toilet paper a few times, and the stove initially didn’t work because the gas had run out. These are things that could easily be checked before guests arrive. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of variety and the option to have hot dishes freshly cooked, including eggs Benedict, omelettes and pancakes. Lunch and dinner also had good options, and we definitely recommend the BBQ dinner. Kayaking was excellent and a great way to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. One tip: the resort drivers are quite expensive. We found it much cheaper to use a private taxi or catch the bus to Lautoka for around FJD $2. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful location, great food and amazing staff. With some investment into the Royal Villa, this place could be fantastic again! Vinaka vakalevu to the whole First Landing team! 🇫🇯"

"Food great (theme nights are awesome) Staff amazing and super friendly Activities are fun (some free some need to be paid) Rooms we had beach view 2 beds and was beautiful and quiet. One suggestion: if possible maybe consider a Double tree bus to Denarau and back. Like a booking system if families are wanting to visit the port and back. Suggesting morning drop off and evening pick up. Could be once a day sort of thing."

"The property was beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. The Fire Show and dancers were amazing and was one of the highlights of our stay. Breakfast buffets were plentiful and delicious. I definitely would recommend staying here."

"Castaway Island was an absolutely wonderful place to stay for 7 nights with 2 kids (8 & 5yo). It was so incredibly relaxed, beautiful & fun. The staff somehow remembered our names which was amazing. I thought it was a Fijian thing, but at the next (fancier) resort we were reduced to madam & sir. Nothing was too much for the team. Once they even climbed a tree to cut a coconut for us. The resort is spectacularly located on the water on two sides; so if it’s windy on one side the other side will be calm. When we ate meals with the kids, we could relax to finish our coffee or drink while they played on the sand next to us. There’s so much to do - kids club, pools, beach, snorkelling, water adventure park, kayaking, paddle boarding, day trips, crab races, frog races, kids & Fijian performances - it was exhausting, in a good way. The other guests are generally very relaxed and friendly too. A perfect day was beach in the morning; pool for lunch; then kids club for the afternoon & evening. We appreciated the warmth, welcome & playfulness of the staff including Maria, Peni, Siteri, Saena, Alisi, Solomon, Dr Sili, Ima, Una, Mickey, Snow White, Maui, Peter Pan, Zac & Zan and the many many other wonderful team members whose names I can’t recall right now. Vinaka Castaway!!"
