The location is perfect. You’re right between everything. No need for an Uber or taxi to go anywhere. Room was clean, smelled nice, staff was polite even though we speak very little Spanish. Air Conditioning is outstanding. The only slight issues are there’s no refrigerator and the “pool” is more like a soaking tub. It appears the one on the other aide is larger and what’s seen in most of the photos. It wasn’t a huge issue. We only used it a few times. A couple chairs to sit outside on the balcony would also be a great addition.

I stayed at Mood Matuna for 4 days and it such a home away from home. The staff is not only kind and helpful, they are professional. The hotel has transportation arrangements back and forth from the airport. It is located in a local neighborhood, so it felt like you were living there rather than just visiting while also been literally steps away from all the touristy stuff. The restaurant was delicious and very reasonably priced. The rooms are clean, modern, and definitely have that boutique hotel vibe. I work virtually and they made it very easy to do so, even sending technician to make sure there was an outlet in man area of work. If you want the local vibe plus tourist care hybrid, this is your place.

Pros: Clean room, I didn’t find it to be too loud, walked into my room with the AC already running and it was nice and cold, Nice Smart TV and Wifi, Balcony, overall friendly staff Cons: YOU CAN ONLY HAVE ONE GUEST with a 2 person reservation , You cant pay to switch or have extra guest they dont tell you this until AFTER you’ve paid. No Microwave, Fridge, or iron in the standard room. Elevator only goes up to 5th floor so try to get a room on floors 1-5. Breakfast is not free and I never received my free bottle of wine. The shower was mediocre lights were too dim for my liking and the shower head was busted Overall its a clean hotel and is walking distance from many things. It is located in not the “nicest” neighborhood. Shoutout to Orlando he’s cool!

The staff were incredibly kind, professional and team players in this cozy little boutique hotel where we were made to feel immediately at home with their delicious and plentiful breakfasts made right on the spot, fresh and nutritious! We would like to send out a special shout out to their 2 in house chefs, And front desk staff who first received us, namely Ronaldo… and them Maria, Daniel and Sebastian . Huge thanks for your amazing hospitality! We loved the little gym equipped simply to make you sweat with a work out! The location was central and super handy to all historic sights
