The cabin was clean and comfortable, with everything we needed for our stay. The host was responsive to our questions prior to check-in. The neighborhood is quiet during our stay.
We had a wonderful time staying in the cabin. It was decorated so cute with the stuffed animal moose head above the fireplace. The beds were very comfortable and the cabin overall had everything we needed to cook and bbq. We enjoyed it and will come back to stay in the future.
We had a wonderful stay at this lovely cabin, right by the lake. It was cozy, and conveniently located between King's Beach and Tahoe City in either direction. Was perfect for us and we will definitely look to stay here again next time we roll through Tahoe.
Accurate listing, great location close to Palisades and Northstar. Communication with the host was somewhat delayed, customer service is overseas but they resolved any issues for the most part. The house gets very cold, it appears there are areas where the cold come in through cracks in the ceiling and walls so make sure to bring blankets and firewood.
This house is very rustic but everything is in working order, clean and cozy. Neighborhood is quiet and safe, although house is right on the boulevard and traffic can be heard out the front.
This quintessential Lake Tahoe cabin brought back all the warm memories of my childhood cabin—it truly felt like home. It had everything we needed, and everything worked perfectly, including the electric grill we used every night. There was plenty of space for me and my teens, and the beds were super comfy. Even our pup felt right at home! The location was unbeatable—we had direct access to incredible hiking and mountain biking trails. We were able to connect to the Tahoe XC trails and the Tahoe Rim Trail without ever needing to move the car.Honestly, we wish we had booked two weeks instead of one. We’ll definitely be back!
The property needs some TLC. The exterior of the property is rundown; there are lots of marks on walls and doors; heating system is antiquated; window coverings on the back of the house are either missing or completely sheer. Thought the property looked clean, until a pair of underwear was found under the bed and two old bars of soap in the bath. The location and neighborhood are very convenient. But the property feels rundown.
Unfortunately it was just too dated for our liking
The carpets need to go
Fixtures need updating
Cobwebs in corners inside
Water flow inconsistent
Gangsta furniture
Just think needs about 30k plus to make it fresh and give it some appeal
We checked out early
Don't expect the Ritz and you will not be disappointed. This is an older, quaint, 'family' cabin with lots of things that could be improved. That said, we had a great time. The heat worked. The cooking utensils were lacking but we fixed what we could and supplemented what was there with a few additions. It would have been great to have a firewood option so we didn't spend time and money on grocery store firewood. The downstairs bedroom needs a TV. The living room TV needs to be bigger and needs either Roku or to be a smart TV. We had to buy AAA and AA batteries for remotes, a clock and something else I can't remember right this second. The price was right for what we got.
The carpets have never been cleaned and it is a pet-friendly place. The messes were clearly not addressed by anyone. The amount of dust and cobwebs on the curtains and higher places was gross. The kitchen was poorly stocked of basics like tin foil, plastic bags, garbage bags ect, and disorganized. The pots and pans were put away unwashed and the cabinet that they were in was nasty. We were all very dissapointed in the filth we had to endure on our family vacation. I did more cleaning there than my own house. The beds were in very poor shape. One rock hard the other was a pit. The pull out couch was bad as well.

Wouldn’t go back
Got there after dark and the house numbers could not be found. They were there but were not lit up. Numbers on the garbage can we’re so washed out they were no help. Called the (888) numbers three times and got no answer. Just too old and rustic for our liking.
Great place to stay for several days during the long holiday. Pretty centered with all the snow activities we wanted to do as well as proximity to the beach. Hard to find at night because house numbers are not easily visible but overall good location. We were happy with our stay and the house!

Cozy, Great Location and Dog Friendly
My husband and two other family members had a wonderful time staying at Moose Cabin. The linens and towels were fresh and the house was clean. There is a cozy fireplace, but you'll have to go buy wood and a starter log. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare food. There is a nice, big TV in the living room for watching movies and a TV in the bedroom upstairs. The sheets and bed were comfortable and the pillows weren't old. We ski, snow board and cross country ski everyday. Tahoe XC is a dog friendly cross country ski area only 5 minutes from this cute cabin. We will definitely stay there again. Our main reason for staying there was the location and the dog friendly policy. We were happy.
is a cute, little cabin but definitely needs more attention specially in the kitchen. some of the appliances are very old and needs renew. toaster is very old and does not function well. dishwasher when you open the door the whole thing want to flip over. in general, we enjoyed our stay.
This property had a nice location and brings back the seventies for those who know. Good working heater, TV, laundry, etc. Snow removal service pales compared to adjacent neighbors. Not keen on early check-out while asking for light cleaning and trash disposal while paying a cleaning service fee. Would still stay there again.
